2004 Mystic Cobra 'Vert!

I saw it this weekend at United Ford South. Less than 20K miles for under $30K. Man, if I had the scratch I'd grab it!

Yes I posted this in the For sale section of the forum a few days ago.... NICE FIND THOUGH!! Its a BLOWZILLA! Chris one of our younger members went and started her up...said it sounds mean. Some of the clear coat is coming off the hood..and there are a few chips. But over all a Sweet ride!

They wanted 28k for it...but told Chris they would take 26k for it. It is Kenne Bell equiped and has a claimed 600RWHP!!

ur kidding me....glad i diddnt talk to the sales rep and show more interest, knew something was wrong by the way the vehicle was sitting but he didnt say ANYTHING about nitrous being run on it, what an ass!

Wow, what a suprise! (NOT) Find me a Terminator out there that hasn't been ran hard. If you find one, it will have ultra low miles on it and it's probably been a garage queen. Then it will have the price tag of $30K or more. Just my $.02

I'm not suprised that it's been ran hard. I would go through it with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything is fine with the car. You really have to be careful when buying a 03/04 Cobra. I kinda got bit because like lots of other Cobras out there, mine smokes on startup every now and then. It also had a throw out bearing problem...I didn't do my homework before I bought mine because i didn't know what it was, or what to look for. Over all though, I am extremely happy that I bought the car. It's a blast to drive!

mitch if you ever want to do a top end overhaul on the car and stop the smoking prolem then give me a call, i'll be all ofver that engine like a pack of dogs on a three legged cat :)

Ehhh...eventually. I've got a little over 65,000 on the ticker and it only does it every now and then (very odd). I can live with it for now. When I do have some work done to the heads, Cams, cams, cams and more cams will be on the ticket.

This car is SERIOUSLY one of the oddest cars I've ever owned. Very tempermental. Sometimes it's great sometimes it's embarassing. Maybe it's all in my head but when it acts up, I say that it's suffering from PMS.

well mitch bring it wiht you some time and i'll go over the engine wiht a fine tooth comb(or as fine as i can wihtout actually tearing it down to its basic components) 4.6 dohc engines are just tempermental in general but theyr fun

I went and looked at that Cobra over the weekend. The guy started it up and I heard a weird ticking noise. So I listened real close and realized crap this thing sounds like its almost out of oil. Sure enough it was, and after it had been idling a couple minutes smoke was coming out of the dipstick tube. Also it has hail damage now so they will take less.

Heres the story on it. A lady shows up at the dealership saying she needs $8k cash or she is going to jail the next day for hot checks. They do some negotiating and she drives off the lot in (I think) and escape or focus happy as can be. Shortly after this man storms in with 2 kids asking if a lady had been there trying to trade in a cobra. They told him sure enough, she was already gone and the deal was done. The guy got madder than hell and told them they had to reverse the transaction. It was his g/f that brought it in and he had put her name on the title along with his. They told him there was nothing they could do about it and she was on the title so legally it was ok. Sucks for that guy.

Hmm so I got a call back today on it. $310 a month for 5yrs plus the down payment for what Id sell my car for. It would come out to about $30k. Time to talk them down lol.

Its been driven hard and has hail damage. 24k at best

Ok they were oringinally asking 28K...One of my buddies went up there to possibly purchase. Now that it has hail damage they were going to drop the price from there. So somewhere in the 26k range is most likely what they are asking now

I would think 26K is still too much for a dogged out Cobra with hail damage. Hell, I got mine for $21,500 nearly 3 years ago and it was super clean and only had a CAI, 2.93 pulley, exhaust and IRS bushings. They put it all back stock minus the IRS bushings and exhaust.
