well apparently gas+heat=fire who woulda known?? LOL
Long story short, I had suspected that I blew a piston ring (i was running about 11 psi) so I was doing a compression test. Forgot to disconnect the fuel pump while doing the compression test. Fuel rails lifted up and sprayed a fine mist of fuel all over the hot motor....flames in no time. The rest is history. At least my insurance company was very kind to me, which is how I ended up with my current ride.

It was a Vortech V2-SQ. She put down 363 hp to the wheels, at 7,000 feet of altitude

Thats Nice
I really dig that hood and I think that mod alone really sets off the car. I bet you get challenged at every light. I have the Eleanor kit and I have every red neck with pickup and dual exhaust challenging me. I have my son in the back seat and there next to me staging. lol
Can you post a pic of those guages and the A pillar? I have to pick some gauges out before Monday and I havent seen very many options. Who makes them and what gauges did you decide on. Thanks

Thanks! I actually don't get challenged at red lights, cuz I live in Enid, and, well, the street racing scene hasn't quite kicked in here, lol.
You know, this is suprising, but looking through the thousands of pictures I have of my car, I don't have a picture that shows my full gauge pod, lol. I'm shocked. All three are autometer cobalts. Bottom one is a wideband A/F, middle one is a vac/boost, and the top one is an accelorometer (sp?) measures Gforces, 1/4 mile time, 0-60, etc etc its kinda fun to play with.

Re: Noob from Enid
Sorry for being a no-show on Saturday. I curb checked my Mustang and spent the weekend at Hibton Tire plus in Del City. I clipped a curb and popped the front tire and damaged the back tire to the point I couldnt really trust it. I bent both American Racing rogue wheels and of course they were different sizes and one was on the West coast and the other was on the East coast. I sat in the garage trying to determine if I could salvage anything so I popped off the AR center caps and brought them hope. I am willing to sell both center caps for $1300.00.
Benji called me and he had to cancel the gear install and attend a funeral on Saturday so it was a total loss all around. I should have just on here and posted that I couldnt make it but I was in shock.

LOL!
Sucks man... I hate spending money just to get something back to the way it was. Very understandable though.

i like the autometer nexus series, but damn they are pricey. for the ones you would need you're looking at over a grand just for gauges. the reason i like them is because they will change color along with the "mycolor" dash option if your car came with it. i ordered mine with it so i'm still debating the gauges. http://www.autometer.com/demos/nexus/
