Hey there Kelly.
The next event is the Fall Cruise. At this point it is full. In November we'll be doing some Drag Racing and maybe a local Cruise or so.

Re: Newb
As for the cruise the reason it is full is we reserved rooms for a specific amount of people but you would be more than welcome to join if you would like to fend for yourself in finding a room and so on. Again Welcome! Like Paul said if you can't do the cruise thing then we will be drag racing and doing a few things here and there over the next couple months. We are also doing a toy drive as we do every year to benefit families in Tulsas West side. Working with Bob Hurley Ford and the Reed Park advisory council. Last year we were able to collect around 1000 toys.

Re: Newb
hey kelley (spelling paul spelling),
nice to see you made your own newb place to get a hello from everyone. as for being technically challenged i would say maybe not. most that are so wouldn't even think to do any mods to their car and you have a decent list of them and even have plans for more. did you do them yourself or did you have someone else do them for you. if you didn't do the cai and tune install yourself and it cost you more than 20 bucks for the install please by all means go to a forum next time you decide to do any mod and find out the difficulty level first. even better since you say you want to join as i have been reading it seems that these guys will do most any basic mod you would ever do at one of their tech days for free for you. am i right guys or have i been reading incorrectly. just like a buy the parts and bring them with you.
these are her mods as of now. :worth:
white stripes cobra chin spoiler 18x9 and 18x10 chrome bullit wheels ,window louvers side scoops and fender vents, also had xcal tune and cai

Re: Newb
well dammit, take one of those ford 9" and give it to me ;) i'd like to have one. stinkin currie wants about 3500 bucks for a drop in piece minus brakes. i'd say if you are able to work on a race car of any type you will be able to do pretty much anything when it comes to this car also.

cobra4548 wrote:2.6 huh? They won't sell a 2.8 unless you have a built motor
my question to you is why would they post this if they won't sell it w/o a built motor?
Can I use the Mammoth™ on my stock lower boost engine until I upgrade to a built high boost engine?
Absolutely. It allows you to grow into new HP levels without penalties. Saves the expense of buying the Mammoth™ later. The Mammoth™ works GREAT on the street with either a low or high boost application. Meanwhile, you’ll have the added HP benefit of the Mammoth™ even at lower boost/HP levels. Just dial the boost down to 9-10 psi - and then back up with the built motor. Note: Heads, cams, headers and strokers will lower boost. Inlet restriction also lowers boost but for a different reason. It chokes off boost/air flow. In any event, the Mammoth™ will make more HP and provides almost unlimited boost and HP growth potential - typically much more than exhaust, headers, cams, heads etc. And it costs less.

Re: Newb
For the S197 at least, KB is requiring proof of a built motor before they will sell the Mammoth 2.8 to anyone. I have spoken with them directly about this issue and Kurtis, who is a KB dealer, has verified this as well. They don't want people blowing up their engines then blaming KB. You wouldn't want a 2.8 on your car without a built motor because our engines can only handle up to 450 at the tire before they explode into eternal oblivion. Even at 9 psi the 2.8 makes well over 550 to the tire. You might get one good run before you throw a rod through your hood or firewall.

Re: Newb
I read on another forum that if you remove your firewall you can run the Mommoth with a stock bottom end. Because without the firewall there's nothing for the rod to go through. Make sense to me!

Re: Newb
good one paul
guess i'll have to look into a kit for the short block and do most of the work myself to cut back on cost then or downgrade to the 2.6L grrrrr. the site also say's you can upgrade the 2.6 to the mammoth intake so maybe.
