Can we get
a Bad modification thread going?

Not sure
what category this belongs to but I would like to see a “mistakes learned”
thread that would cover anything from bad vendors or buying experience to low quality parts and installation. The
reason I bring this up is that I have regretted purchasing a couple of
aftermarket pieces for my Eleanor and would like to learn from others.

For
example, 2 out of the 3 aftermarket parts I have purchased have introduced rust
to my ride which really pisses me off. The first purchase was hood pins where
the wire that came up from under the hood rusted within 3 months and if I had
to do it over again I would not. Where are you guys going for custom sound,
leather interior upgrades or anything like that?

My paint
guy is creating me a “board of vendors” to put in front of my car. It will be
painted Eleanor gray with ghost flames like the car. I tell every vendor I work
with that there name is going on this board whether I have a good experience or
bad experience I am going to talk about them at every show I go to.

We dont have to agree on everything but we can at least see a pattern of poor service or spot a opportunity for a group purchase or something.

Sorry, I typed my original message in Outlook and then pasted it in which apparently does not work well.
