about to order a '13

finally got my wife to decide on exactly how she wants her '13 to be built. on fords site it totals out to be $37.5k

now for the good news. the price from military sales...... $31,246


2013 V6 vert, mca package 203A, after that pretty much every single option available. she's getting the darker red.

yeah that's what the premium and vert get you. you end up paying alot more for the nice interior and vert. i'm not complaining with over 6k off fords msrp

Have to be honest, cant see paying that much for a V6. Buddy of mine just picked up a brand new 2012 GT for $24,000 with X plan and a $2500 rebate.

S197 GT500s are around $30k, 2010 GT500s are dipping in the high 30s, soon the 2011+ will dip as well...they are already low 40s.

Its all about what you and her want of course, just throwing devils advocate out there.

Could wait a little until the 2014 talk starts and pick up a 13' cheap. If the '14 comes out and is an amazing ride...prices for the previous models are going to fall fast.

yeah, but right now she's paying for about a tank of gas nearly twice a week at 100 bucks a tank. i did find a sweet 07 gt500 vert w/ 1k miles, but between the insurance and gas what's the point. sure we could pay alot less, but she wants the vert and the gas mileage of the V6

as far as mods go she want's to use it for corners and not the 1/4 mile so the v6 will be great to learn with and when she gets good enough and after the warranty we can just put a procharger on it.

I get 24mpg on the highway and around 16-17 in the City, so not too bad (Average of 15.7 mpg because I like to play). Just have to keep the foot out of it. Insurance isnt as bad as you think, price it out and you might be surprised.

BUT I hear ya on the V6 being perfect for your needs. 30mpg is hard to ignore and they are very balanced. Its not the car itself, its the money for that car that makes me cringe a bit.

Hate to see the 14's come out and the bottom fall out leaving you upside down on payments. Something to think about, its a gamble.

I want a 2015 or 2016. I should wait. By that time I can get a 2009 or 2008 or even 2007 cheaper. Oh and I even have a coupon from Walmart to get $10.00 off. Sweet. I wait then. Sounds like a good plan. (joke)

I'm getting 11 mpg in town and that's without playing much. Screw gas mileage!
