Ok got 3 things going on. 2 with the stang, one with the rice mobile.

I waxed the Mustang yesterday, used black magic, good wax, used it before. However it never seemed to "dry"? It just smeared around. Ever take a poop that you just cant get cleaned up from? Use a whole roll of TP and start considering a shower?? Yeah wax was like that. Its fairly new wax (3 mos), car was in the shade, clean and cool and dry, shook it up. It just seemed greasy and never turned pasty, even after an hour. After I killed myself on the first 1/4 I Googled answers and all I got was wet it with a sponge and wipe dry, this worked but it's still kinda swirly. I would get a Jerry hand job but I'm conserving fund-age and job searching.

#2, Mustang again. I'm getting a pop sound from the rear/right rear when I first take off. It's almost like the rear caliper is sticking, but sometimes I swear its from the axle. Fluid is good, royal purple, 6 mos old (8,500 miles or so). This one has me stumped.

#3 is less fun. 2001 Eclipse. When your steering at slow speeds the steering wheel "locks" so to speak, it quits moving the direction your going, squeaks loudly, then you can let pressure off and continue on. Worse backing out of a parking spot or pulling into one. Temp has nothing to do with it. Fluid is full, good condition. Etc.

All help appreciated. Thanks!!

Oh and sorry we missed the year end video, been in Gainsville TX for the last week.

For 2, check the bolts on the lower control arms, mine was loose and was giving me a sort of pop noise.

1: I'd go to Detail Supply Warehouse (http://www.detailsupplywhse.com/) and pick up some Dark Glaze and then seal it with Total Eclipse.

2: It it a constant popping or only when taking off or stopping? Sounds like a bad bushing somewhere. Control arms or sway bar.

3: Steering rack might be going. Since it FWD.. might be a CV joint hanging up as well. Are you getting any clicking noise when you turn a corner? I've never heard of them hanging up like that though. Of course I never had an Eclipse. :)

Ok
#1 Ordered the stuff the "stig" spoke of
#2 Control arm bushings (replaced)
#3 her $%&* of an X boyfriend, using 1970's technology put good ole' transmission fluid in the power steering, causing the rack to wear prematurely. It now has 2 bottles of lucas in it and sounds much happier.

Thanks!

I think thats what happened, with the divorce came the loss of a garage, wax sat outside with the car over the winter.
