the new "family car"
well new ish. ive drove her a whole 20 feet onto my trailer and drug her to the house. basically i was looking for a DD for the wife. was turned on to this. story behind it is that the car has been sitting for 8ish months. she was driving it and the front end got "loose" on her. she was told the front struts needed to be replaced. she goes out buts 300 bucks worth of monroe pre-loaded strut/spring. her old man jacks it up pulls a tire caliper/brake (not sure why still) pulls the strut and realizes its "out of his automotive scope" and there it sat.
along comes me 8 months and $500 bucks later and in about 30 min the car is driving on my trailer.
the car fired right up, with the help of my k5's battery.... im pretty sure the stut wasnt bad in the first place. the front pass. side cv is shot from hanging for 8 months (and i think thats the original issue). so im gonna swap both of them at $50 bucks a pop. new rotors new brakes. needs a good wash/wax and the inside cleaned up. couple hail dents and some clear is bubbling on the rear bumper. but all in all... 500 bucks, ill prob drop another 300 or so in parts and a new front tire (from sitting on a flat for a while) and it wont be a bad toy for a while.....
