Re: car not starting right
To help, the experts probably need abit more detail, like cranks slow or cranks too long etc. Check engine light? Sputters? Starts and dies? Stuff like that. Its not easy to troubleshoot over the internet but more info might lead the experts to a good guess!!!

agreed.. Need some info on what it is doing exactly. Any puffs of smoke right when it fires or strong gas smell anything helps.

Re: car not starting right
okay more info it is! lol well it cranks a little long not too long and like a wierd clicking noise. its odd too cuz if i havnt driven it in like 30 minutes the radio and clock resets after i start it back up like the battery died. THis is just a bad week with my car too. cuz just this morning i put my e-break up and it slammed back down like the cable busted. then the passenger window wouldnt go up automattically.

Check your battery terminals to make sure they are not caked up with stuff.. Even if they dont look like it there can be a thin layer between the termal and the connector causing poor voltage. Its free to check it out and may solfe your issue. It is probably unlike though as it does crank and if it can turn the starter it should have enough to power the stereo but its easy to check and doesnt cost you anything to eliminate that possiblity.

I'll start out as an amateur and say low battery voltage?

Re: car not starting right
You are correct Chris... The radio will reset if the battery is low. My wife left my dome light on last week... yesterday I go to start it and it's dead. After David and I jumped it, I let it run a while to charge back up. Turned if off and let it sit for a while. When I got back in it, the battery had just barely enough to start it and the radio stations reset again... Bottom line... low voltage will reset the radio. It would also explain why it's cranking slow too.
I'd say your battery is about to die... Doesn't sound like it's wanting to hold a charge. Check it first.

Re: car not starting right
corrosion = resistance = low voltage and amperes. Blackgt02 might be on the ball here. 05 stang might have the original battery also. a load test wouldn't hurt to see if the battery is still good.
