Door panel inserts come off in heat

This summer my driver side door panel bubbled in the 100+ heat and the passenger side panel came totally off. Has this happened to anyone else? What did it cost to fix?

It happened on Nikis 05 this summer. I fixed it myself. Just 3M spray adhesive. Had to remove the door panel. No big deal. Easy fix.

did they use 3m at the factory or will this keep it on do you think? I usually keep it garaged I dont know if that would have made a difference this summer but it was outside

I don't know what they use from the factory, but the 3M adhesive is plenty strong enough for that repair. Honestly it's not that big of a deal.

pretty easy fix like david said. or you could throw a custom touch on it and use a different material. maybe some microfiber or suede

I went ahead and had the votech shop fix them. They did a great job on the spoiler; when I picked my mustang up there was a trans am with the same type spoiler, mine was noticeably better /straighter. but they got glue on the door around the panels. I dont feel confident enough to do most stuff on my mustang without supervision/help. If I ever move back to the eastern half of the state I will look forward to meetups for that reason

I used painters tape to mask off around the door before I sprayed the ones in Nikis car. I guess I'm probably older and wiser than the rookies at vo tech though. Oh well. I'm sure a little goof off will take care of the overspray.
