Programming a Ford Keyless Entry Remote
Dont pay the dealer again guys. This is too easy. Most of this info is in the owners manual as well but most people do not know it.
* I have heard this wipes out programming on exhisting remotes so program all remotes you wish to use again *
Method "A" Most 96 and newer Vehicles
Method "B" SOME 99 and Newer Vehicles
* I have heard this wipes out programming on exhisting remotes so program all remotes you wish to use again *
Method "A" Most 96 and newer Vehicles
1. With the doors unlocked and key in hand.
2. Cycle the ingnition 8 times. On off, on off, on off, on off, etc... Do this 8 times only and do it within 10 seconds ending in the ON position.
3. your door locks should cycle locked and unlocked.
4. Within 10 seconds press any key on the remote(s) you are wanting to program. (up to 4)
5. The door locks should cycle to confirm programming
6. When complete turn the key to Off and the door locks should cycle again letting you know you have exited programming mode.
Method "B" SOME 99 and Newer Vehicles
1. have ALL fobs on hand, including those which might already be programmed correctly. The programming will "erase" your old ones.
2. Unlock the doors. Put the key in the ignition, and turn from "Off" to "ACC" 5 times in under 10 seconds. The doors will lock. Leave key in the ACC position
3. Program the fobs by pressing any key on the fob. Do this for each fob. The doors locks will lock/unlock
4. Turn the key to Off. Locks will lock/unlock, and you are out of programming mode.
5. Test all remotes.

Interesting. This could come in handy if you bought a used car with no remote.
