Ummm help me? :(
Alright I'm a teenage I don't think of consequences before I do things. It's how our brains work. So don't tell me I shouldn't have done this. I now know this.
Anyways long story short, floored it in reverse from a stop. Got some big wheel hop, my friend said my tire bounced up into like my 1/4 panel. Car handles fine and everything and drives normal but now it makes the noise. I know its from the tire/tires because when I go faster the noise gets louder and faster, even if I'm at the same rpm, got pulled over just now figuring this out luckily he believed me that I was troubleshooting my car. Anyways once I got home I was looking and it looks like the rear wheel isn't in line anymore but I'm not sure if it's because the way the fender comes in towards the rear or what. I don't know if it's just an optical allusion or not. So my question, could massive wheel hop cause my rear wheels to become misaligned?

Re: Ummm help me? :(
Could be a few different things.
You need to get the rear up in the air and turn the wheels.....check for any wobbling. Could have bent the axle among other things like a bent rim, U-joint, wheel bearing, etc. Is there anything leaking from under the rear?

Re: Ummm help me? :(
No leaks, how do I turn the wheels with the rear jacked up without letting it slide? Or if I block the front wheels is that enough?

Re: Ummm help me? :(
Please don't kill yourself
Jack the rear up....USE JACK STANDS to hold it in place and put blocks behind the front tires. Spin the wheels by hand (DO NOT START THE CAR AND DO THIS)... again spin the wheel by hand and see if you can hear or see any visible miss alignment, shake, wobble, etc
OR the smart thing to do is to take it into a shop and have them put it on a lift and look at it.
I believe Cobradoc could help you out...shoot him a PM
You can check your u-joints by putting the car in gear and the ebrake on. Then get under the car and try moving the driveshaft up and down, left and right, and try twisting it also. It should not move. Do this at the front and rear u-joint

This thread is full of fail. Lol
There are so many possibilities as to what you broke I won't even try to mention them. Just take it in and have it looked at.

x2 Epic fails... And future epic fails unless you take it in. Even if you get it up in the air, then what? You had trouble taking off a wheel a month or so back.
Take it in.

900-950 max. Basically the rear end went to shit, bye bye termi dreams. Have to replace gears, rebuild the trac loc, and replace some bearing thing.

I would take it somewhere for a second opinion. friend or not, they saw an 18 year old that knows nothing about his car complaining about a noise, and they started jumping up and down...
