Brake Pads
So, I bought some brake pads and was attempting to install them myself today (I have never done this before) and was following the instructions in my Chilton guide, and came across a bolt that it appears I need a fairly large star shaped screwdriver to get out. Does anyone know where I can find one of these, or if there is another way to get the bolt out? Its the one holding the caliper so it cant flip up and off the brake pads.

Re: Brake Pads
This is called a torx bit. Readily available at all auto parts stores, sears, lowes etc. It's probably a T-45 T-50

Re: Brake Pads
What I always do is just take the 2 15mm bolts holding caliper bracket off and not mess with the torx bit ones cause they are usually tight as a sob and round off.

Re: Brake Pads
Yup, if you just remove the two on top, the top part of the caliper will come off, allowing you access to the pads. If he still has them, you need to get aarons pbr calipers. Great upgrade to your brakes...
