Howdy everyone! Proud owner of a 92 LX 5.0 with 250k miles on it. Fixing to start rebuilding it and make it better than new. Can't wait!

Might have some parts left over from the 90 laying around if you need anything. I've had around 10 fox mustangs over the years so if you ever need a hand just say the word.

Re: Howdy from Owasso
right now it just has a cold start issue. runs ok once it warms up. eventually going to drop in a 331 stroker. original tranny is about to go too. all in all it doesn't do bad for the mileage. just a lot of cosmetic stuff and the interior is pretty thrashed

Re: Howdy from Owasso
Still not bad for a 20 year old car... what is the cold start issue? Just rough or what?
Re: Howdy from Owasso
Probably just needs the iac cleaned out and idle strategy reset. Easy fix

I had a similar issue with my 88 LX. Not sure what your exact issues are but mine when cold would start, idle a few seconds and quit. The second or third try it would start and stay running. Once the car was warm and I started it, it started everytime. I over time I replaced IAC and TPS and probably tried a few other things. No help. Then I put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail. 32psi. Its been 11 years so my memory is abit hazy but I think it called for stock pressure at 39PSI so I figured fuel pump or regulator. I bought a crane adjustable regulator and set it to 39 psi. Never had a issue with starting again. That may not be your issue but its something to think about. I sure was puzzled when I was working thru my issue.
