Re: if anyone remembers.........
yeah no problem, but you shouldn't have any issues. they are very simple to modify and i believe you can even get plugs now rather than having to weld them or put something like quicksteel in them. fyi i just used quicksteel and when i removed them after 10k of use they were just as good as when i put them in.
when plugging the holes if you are using quicksteel or anything similar make sure you score up the insides of the holes first so the material has something to hold onto

Re: if anyone remembers.........
WOW 484rwhp at only 8psi...you sure your not running higher boost?
Most KB 2.6 guys are running in the 420-440 rwhp range at 8psi is why I ask.

There we go...cams and heads are showing you some very good gains
Like you said the long tubes will up the HP and lower the boost.
Congrats on the #'s! Looking forward to seeing this car in person some day

Re: if anyone remembers.........
yeah i had thought the same thing, but i'm afraid that day will be quite a ways away. plan for now is the get the new S197 specific T56 when it comes out (supposedly Aug) and maybe change the cams eventually when I do the shortblock. unless something crazy happens it may be a few years before i do the shortblock. it's a tossup on doing LT's right now. the biggest reason for doing them now would be for the peace of mind not to get a clogged cat. i'd probably go with mac & an o/r prochamber, but we shall see.

Could just go with used O/R X or H for now ....theres always someone selling them....and wait until you are ready to spend the big $ on the LT's and midpipe setup
I too was affraid of the clogged Cat scenario...so I ditched them

Re: if anyone remembers.........
Bob lives in denver. They are somewhat fanatical about their emissions controls. They have road side sniffers that take a laser reading of your emissions. If you exceed it they mail you a ticket. Pretty crazy. He would probably have to stay with the High flow cats in order to stay legal.

Sounds like CA with their red light cameras - run a red light out there, you get a $350 citation in the mail! Come to think of it, we need those cameras in Tulsa - red lights here are just a suggestion to stop.

Re: if anyone remembers.........
i actually live in the springs and no emmisions. crazy i know that just an hour north and i'd have to have them.
i have thought about getting a used o/r pipe, but then i'd just be having to pay for another one when i do the LT's. i try not to waste money that isn't a must. mac LT's and an o/r X or prochamber will be around 800 so we'll see.
