Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
Someone had asked about the TVS...Thought I would make a thread for anyone searching in the future to find it more easily.
The TVS is an Eaton, but a bigger and more efficient one. Its a factory fit to...no cutting, not additions, very easy to install, very reliable and produces some monsterous numbers. The low end torque is greater than most other options out there as well. Leonard in the club has one on his GT500 and is pushing Well over 600 Rwhp.
Here is a great article you should read:
http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/m5lp_0906_gt500_supercharger_tests/index.html
"The new Twin Vortices Series is a solid step up from the Gen 5 M122 supercharger factory installed on the GT500's 5.4. Compared to the more traditional M122 Roots supercharger, the new TVS offers a greater lobe count (four versus three), increased rotor twist (160 degrees versus 60 degrees), and revised inlet and discharge architecture, to say nothing of the increase in displacement (2.1 versus 2.3 liters). These revisions have greatly improved not only the ultimate power and boost potential of the Roots blower, but the all-important average power production."

If i had the extra cash I would be all over this deal! Rick...I dont think you will be dissapointed
Funny you guys mention traction. My tires cant even handle the stock HP....Purchasing drag radials will be a must even after a pulley and tune....but Being that this is a daily.....I will have to be purchasing drag radials often....the wallet is hurting already

Re: Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
The question becomes since it is a Ford part and if it is installed by a Ford mechanic, would it void the warranty?
After a suspension upgrade of course

Re: Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
If I am not mistaken the frpp package is only good for 12k miles and must be installed by ford, this product has a 2.50 pulley on it and I think it even sports vmp on the side not sure about that. So I dont think you will be under warranty with this product, but i have been known to be wrong once or twice.

Re: Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
Probably would depend on what you were trying to have covered. If you blow the motor. I doubt you'll have any luck, but a wheel bearing yeah. Lol

Re: Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
Magnuson-Moss Act prevents your warranty from being void due to an aftermarket part. In short....the part you installed has to directly be the reason for the failure.
For Example: You have a problem with your stereo, your window motors, your rear gears, your wheels, etc etc...the fact that you have a TVS Supercharger does not void your warranty. Now if your motor blows...then they could initially void it...but would still have to prove that the aftermarket supercharger did it...and still it would only void your motor. Shouldnt void anything else. Here is the ACT
Magnuson Moss Act
Your best bet is to still check with your dealership and ask questions. What will they allow? Any dealership can deny your warranty...wheter they are in their rights to or not is the question. Ford will send an investigator to test your car after the incident. So its a toss up on what happens after that.

Re: Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
Justin just made 660rwhp with the new blower, of course your gonna get some more hp out of it with him right there tuning it. Vehicle still had stock t/b and lower pulley. So I figure 640 would be easily had with the swap over. Anyone want to give me 2900 for mine???? :)

Hell it sounds when the new design comes out in 2013 for the '14 GT500s we are all going to want to sell our cars hehe. Probably just Hype though, but the new platform sounds promising.
I will be keeping this one till my grave regardless of the new platform.....love this car.

Re: Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger Information
I highly doubt the the GT500 will be here by then. I'm betting the 2013 is the last of it. But I'm sure they will have another "premium pony" . Probably just go back to calling the Cobra.
