Keep an eye on the weather tomorrow...
Reading through some of my chasing sites and at looking at some of the projected maps for tomorrow... it's looking like a lot of the same ingredients will be coming together like the historic May third outbreak. Strong and long track tornados are expected....
I'm taking off tomorrow afternoon and going chasing!

Re: Keep an eye on the weather tomorrow...
Why?! OKC never gets tornadoes! :)
I actually can't believe the buzz about tomorrow. Right now we're still under a "moderate risk"... but I'm betting tomorrow it will be bumped up to "High" which is rare.

Re: Keep an eye on the weather tomorrow...
Just got back... What a day! We shot over to Guthrie and watched the initial line build. Then shot north and caught up with the tornadic cell in outside of Billings between Enid and Ponca City. Caught some tape of a few massive funnels. We were about a 1/4 mile away and the inflow was incredible. Guessing around 60-70 mph. Also, saw where the tornado crossed the road. FedEx truck blown over and baseball + size hail that absolutely destroyed some cars.
There were dozens of chasers out today! I'll post pics later...

Re: Keep an eye on the weather tomorrow...
This was near Billings Ok. This was about 20-30mins after the hail fell and it's
still that big. It was baseball + in size. Several cars were pummeled.
This one left a crater about 3 - 3 1/2 inches deep.
One of the cars that got nailed. There were others that were just totaled.
Funnel cloud trying to form...
Have to load more...

Looks Awesome Paul! Thanks for the heads up yesterday, I parked my car in my buddies garage here on campus.
Norman was under a few different warnings as we had to take cover a few times.

One south of me about 3 miles, one east of me about 5 miles, one north of me about 10 miles. the east and south were headed for me, but the seemed to turn off easterly.
I did get the hail (marble sized) and the quiet, was creepy.

How is this????? I've seen plenty, but... that's probablly because my family is a bunch of typical okies who will stand on their porch and watch a funnel plop down, right down the street....
