My son races with TKC - it's been a well kept secret until now, unfortunately. Not sure why there aren't more adults, because the club can definitely run senior classes. They just haven't been well marketed until now.

Adults can get into full size karts with low-maintenance 4-stroke engine packages for real cheap, all the way up to 30+ HP single speed 125cc "TAG" karts or the infamous shifters.

There is some really good, national champion-level driver talent and even two nationally known engine builders right here in Green Country. This is a great place to be in terms of competition and support.

Anyway, I know the club would absolutely love to get a senior kart class running. My son will be in TAG this year, and I have an adult seat for his kart that I fully intend to fit and turn some laps.

First race is the 14th - hope to see some cool Fords out there!

Its very fun, but very expensive to do go carts! After seeing our expert driving at Andy B's, I think we are ready for some JRP go carts! Tulsa Kart Club Lol

Thanks, just posted there too.

As far as the expense of karts, like anything, you can mortgage your first born and still not be able to buy everything you want. That said, you can have a really, really good time for not a lot of money in the F4 Senior class. If you're a member, you can practice anytime you want, which is a great deal. We're going out tomorrow to get my son some seat time in his new ride - he's moving up about two classes into a 125cc model that does around 70mph at 15,000rpm on the straights. Woof. You wanna see some good racing, watch some of those guys in the final. Two or three karts nose to tail turning 28 second lap times for 8 straight minutes.
