What Stimulus?

And they should do a bang up job on health care...

It's absolutely disgusting the amount of money that has been wasted on this "tax stimulus program". The only thing the government has done to stimulate the economy was the cash for clunkers program. Everything else has just stablilzed it. The housing tax credit has not grown the housing industry. Housing starts are at an all time low. In 2008, Miami-Dade county in Florida, there were 151 construction projects being built there. Today there are 35 projects in the whole state of Florida. When exactly is this economic stimuls going to take affect? There is absolutely nothing I can do about it except keep paying my taxes and watch my money be flushed down the toilet.

The American people need to rise up and flush thier congressmen and women out of office these next elections. They are one of the main reasons for the problem.

Term Limits!!! The constitution provides for every man (or woman) to be able to serve their country in the legislative capacity, if they meet the requirements. But with no term limits, the opportunity is not there. Voting doesn't solve the problem when special interest groups can buy votes and skew the election. Example: Teddy Kennedy. 40 something years in the Senate, really? We need to vote NO to incumbents, take back our Congress, Presidency, and overall government.

Yeah, but they will not introduce term limits, why would you enact something that gets rid of you and your job??

Term limits are in the power of the people, always has been. If you don't like what they are doing, votem out. There just needs to be more people who care and actually show up to vote.

Here's another fun fact, there was an artical written and i cannot quote which one, but it said that it cost $700 million just to administer the stimulus fund. That's right ladies and gentlemen, it cost us $700 million to spend the money. If that doesn't send you to the bathroom to vomit, nothing will.

I do vote, religiously. Sadly many of our brothers and sisters are mis-informed and need to educate themselves, but won't, because that would require motivation, intelligence, etc. Exactly why, politicians go after the poor, under-educated and other demographics that will forward their cause without question. People, as a general rule, will follow anyone who plays the happy trumpet, promising them what they want to hear. All of the voters, who clamored for change and voted this election, certainly got heir "change", didn't they?

And I don't believe that we can blame Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr. or anyone before them in this century, solely for the failure of this economy and society. It has been coming on for some time, and no one president can fix or destroy it on his own. Which indicates to me that the fat cat, lifers in Congress are the problem.

Voting is the key, but maybe more people challenging the old guard and actually running for office, making a stand would be in order.

The financial stimulus has failed. Congress needs to focus on sexual stimulus, something they know a little bit about......
