Re: 2011 GT Specs
Hector wants to be the first in the club to get a new '11! Go Hector!!
In reading about the new 5.0 Coyote engine, I discovered that even though this is a great engine as is, Ford is leaving a lot of horsepower on the table. This new engine will employ port injection - if they go to direct injection they could raise the compression ratio on this engine from the current 11:1 to about 12:1. Additionally, this engine is using drop-in liners - Ford has developed spray-bore liner technology that, if used in the Coyote, would enable them to increase the bore size of each cylinder, thus expanding the displacement of the current 5.0L Coyote engine. So, those two enhancements alone would pump this NA engine from its current 412HP rating to around 450, perhaps even higher. I can't help but think we'll see one or both of these enhancements show up in a 2012 SE Mustang. I can't wait!

as for the five-oh, if anyone plans on getting one, it might be an idea to have 2 different savings acc's, and put parts money in one, and payment money in the other, so when you get it, you will have a lil money to splurge!! haha. might take awhile, but if you start now, you could have alot when it comes time... as for myself, im looking into buying a jeep and keeping my mustang. this weather is really pissin me off... lol
Just put everything back to stock... again, today. Changing the radio and pulling the stereo system out tomorrow. Only mods left on it is the Hurst shifter, aluminum seat leavers behind the front seats, lower brace on the engine cradle and sequetial tail lights. I even put the stock tune back in. Going to try and clean the inside a bit. Can't do anything about the outside of the car. Dam weather.
do i smell some of these parts being for sale hector?

"YOU ASS !!!!" LOL!!!
Yah the parts will be for sale soon. Got to clean them up. might wait till the tax season start. people will have money burning in their pockets. Might keep the tuner, if it will work on the ford truck i might get. Have to pay to unlock it.
I might hold off till the 2012 model mustangs. Hope they get the bugs out of the 2011 models. Usually there's bug in the 1st models of new cars and stuff.

Need to see what part can be transferred over to the newer body style. Save some cash and swap the parts out from the current stang to the newer.
Oh... I just got back from the dealership. My trade in value is was what i expected but the payments Wasn't what i want. I have good credit bit my score is low. I just owe too much on everything. So if it happen at that dealership, it will happen to another. Have to keep this mustang for a while now. The 302 mustang will have to wait for now. I'm leaving mine stock and will be selling the parts I have. List will be up soon with pics.
Sorry for going off the topic.

Got another question, with the new motor coming out, would our aftermarket parts become cheaper?

I love to do the engine and tranny swap for my 06 stang. I just like the body style of my car better than the 2010 models.

I believe that's the cost for an '11 GT over the six cylinder. The '11 six cylinders will have as much horsepower as our GTs came with, by the way.

Not sure what you mean by add? As in Add-on? Are they offering the 4.6 and the 5.0??? I thought it was going to be the same V6 or GT?

Re: 2011 GT Specs
lol. Well that is what I am wanting to know. Since the new ones will be coming, I don't want to get spanked by a v6. So my dilemma, parts cheaper, keep the one I have and mod like crazy, or get a gt500 or '11 gt.

Re: 2011 GT Specs
Of course the 11 sixers can get boosted as well. And don't think for a minute the aftermarket isn't going to take full advantage of the new power in the mustang jr. it has effectively doubled their aftermarket parts ability.
