For those with UDPs...
There is an interesting discussion going on over at modularfords about using a differnt belt when using UDPs. SOme of the reasons for changing are listed as tensioner play, belt slip, and lost HP. Apparently JDM changes ALL belts when they install UDPs on customer cars at their shop to combat these issues. Maybe you can pick up some HP by changing it out....thoughts?

that might be an issue for SC cars, however, not sure for NA cars.

Actually, the discussion is centered around NA cars....that's what makes it so weird....JDM even changes them on NA cars....

Underdrive pullies on a s/c car? Hmmm maybe Im missing something but that would lessen your boost. An overdrive crank pulley on the other hand...

Re: For those with UDPs...
Ok I was thinking about this and it seems to me that if the belt "slips" then wouldn't that give you more RWHP since there would be less drag from the accessories? Essentially like running with no belt. In other words I don't see how it would cost you any power on a N/A car.

Re: For those with UDPs...
Oo that is a good point. Only problem is, would that not cause shock on the pulley system possibly breaking something in the long run?
