August 28 TNT

Looks like the weather is going to be nice for some TNT. A few of us have talked about going out there Friday night. David, Paul and I are in for sure. Anyone else who would like to come out and race or just to hang out is welcome to join. Hope to see some of you there.

What did you run BTW? Mid 15's?

I will be at poker night anyways, last thing I need to do is break my daily driver at the track. Yes Paul, mid 15 is all I could muster up, its slow!

would love to race, but still have a couple things to install before. The week after next i will have some new toys to install...

Getting the tsb done for clutch staying engaged, the freaking flywheel was so burnt and blue from the clutch dragging it was bad. But ford also wants to install a new input shaft and all the synchro's in the tranny. Well it also needed a 2nd gear cause are master tranny tech said it was not right. So he gets its all together and go for a drive, something is screwed up, it shifts fine but makes a noise when just driving, he said something was wrong with the new input shaft.

So anyways, take it apart today to install new input shaft, well first gear is effed up now, so I get to wait till at least Monday or Tuesday for first gear to show up. Oh well, I have more goodies to install that just showed up today anways! :)

No biggie honestly, getting brand new clutch and flywheel out of the deal. I was gonna get it done before my warranty ran out anyways, so I guess I had no choice. Just wish the clutch didn't act up on my 1st pass down the track with this car, oh well I know where I stand with a jacked up clutch, 15.5 seconds at 87mph! ;)

I think it was driver error that effed it up...

Congrats to Dein tonight! He is now deep into the 12's and has redeemed himself!

Thanks to all that came out. Seems like the track was shut down more due to spills than it was open... still had a good time.

They ran their cars! Duh.

I was there, best time was 12.3 @ 110. Yes it did take forever. They need a better system for cleaning up spills. Or just keep the amateurs in the riced out sentras off the track.

I found out that I have spark plug issues. THe issue is they are all F'd up. Yee Haw I'll be replacing those this weekend. Then all will be good

Sorry I missed it, but apparently work > track. Congrats Dein on the 12 sec pass! Nice run too Jerry! You must have a good technique for launching, you'd be amazed at how many 03/04 cobras underachieve out there cause they can't 60' to save their lives!

Rather have a spark plug issue then a tranny issue like I have! :) Oh, anyone take some video of last night?

I showed up for a few. was checking out that one girl with her ass hanging out of her pants that was broken. nice cheeks. LOL!!! had to get back to work. no play time for me.

yeah Tim still the factory plugs. It was acting all freaky like j was on the rev limiter and it was pulling spark. It's either the plugs or I've got a coil pack or two on the fritz. It was missing awful.

Cross your fingers when doing those plugs David.

Do you guys think they are really that bad? I have replaced mine a few times... never a problem.... I coated the plug threds with pure nickel anti-seaze

Well his car is older than yours also Dein, I haven't heard many problems with mustang plugs on 3 valves but on 3 valves f150 they rust in there and break.
