WTB Stock H-Pipe with Cats -
I just got the Thumper Cams installed and need a stock H-pipe w/ cats to make it more drivable on lower RPMS. Im running really rich on idle with o/r x and borlas.

Just make adjustments to your tune. The Tune should fix the Rish issue. a stock H will not fix the issue from what I understand.

Yea! Brenspeed told me that the cam was really radical and that I needed an H-Pipe with cats becasue the O2 sensors control the A/F ratios and it was telling the car to run rich at idle. Im not sure what is up though. It runs good above like 2k RPMs but while coasting with cluth in, it dies sometimes. It also has terrible throttle response. Im pretty sure it is the tune but brenspeed said its good. IDk?

Interesting. I would suggest getting a dyno tune. Brenspeed tunes are the shit but with somthing as radical as cams I think a dyno tune is the best way to get the most out of the change.

Yea! No doubt dude! Thats what im thinking! Something as big as a cam deserves a dyno tune!

I agree with them that it is pretty much the tune. You have your rear o2 sensors already turned off with the cats off. I think you should buy a stock h pipe anyways because it sounds good! Oh by the way for everyone who wants to know if cams make a difference, they do. BJ beat me by two car lengths the other day... sad day for me. I was used to beating him by a car or two and those days are over....

Yeah... it just means I am going to have to go with something crazy to get him. He also has 4.10 gears laying in the floor. He is just waiting on Benji. Man... I need a stroked 302 with full bolt ons..

LOL! Yea! I am going to greg to get a dyno tune probably this weekend or the next! But that is good to hear that if it is running rich it has more power to gain! Who doesnt like more power!? LOL! But yea! I am pleased even with the cams untuned! They made a big differnece!

Just an update. Greg is the bomb! He fixed everything that BJ was needing. I gave him my BBK throttle body and he is going to replace his plugs and go back for a final touch up on the dyno with greg.
