Sorry for the late official notice... We just decided to do this....
At first it looked like the rain was going to wash out this event, but
they've taken all the rain chances out for tomorrow!


Pre-Show Detail Gathering:
We're meeting at Paul's place about 11am for a detailing session.
You're welcome to stop by and clean up your ride up for the show. Most
of you know where I live, if not reply and I'll give you directions or
just google the address: 1009 E Seattle St. B.A. 74012 (Call:
918-230-2222)

Here's the details on the Jenks Car Show
Date & Time: August 16, 2008 to 08, 2008 at 3pm-8pm
Location: Jenks, OK at aquariium

Details:
“A
Hot Night in August”, Jenks annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle show will
take place on Saturday, August 16th from 3:00pm to 8:00 pm on the
grounds of the Oklahoma Aquarium.

Categories for the show
include: Corvettes, foreign sports cars, Mustangs, Camaros &
Firebirds, Chevelles, stock and modified cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
In addition, special trophies will be presented for best paint, best
engine, best interior, sponsor choice, people’s choice, and host
choice. Trophies will also be awarded for the top three in each
category.

Registration will be from 3 - 5 p.m. the afternoon of
the show, with the first 100 entries receiving a free dash plaque and
goodie bag. Entry fee is $15. Participants will also have the
opportunity to win great door prizes. Judging will be provided by the
Tulsa Vette Set and held from 5 - 7 p.m. with trophies and awards given
from 7 - 8 p.m. Proceeds from registrations will benefit the Little
Light House in Tulsa, a Christian Developmental Center serving young
children with special needs from birth through six years.

So is that:

1. Paul's detail session and meet later at the car show?

2. or would it be a Paul's Detail session and group cruise from Paul's over to the show after detailing is complete?

The only show i can make is on sunday.It is in okc. at hooters.I'll head out about 8 from the sapulpa bowling alley.I'd see if anyone would like to go,but it might be cloudy,and could be a 1 percent chance of rain.

i gave my car a quick was tonight but couldn't really see too well. I'll hit the spots i miss in the morning.

Are you guys just cruisin over to the Jenks from Paul's home? I can stop by Pauls abit later in the morning if you are just all heading over to Jenks after the car shine...? If not, when is everybody meeting at Jenks?

very good turn out. i had a good time. I got lost coming out of there. I've never been to Jenks before. I just followed everyone out of there. I stopped by Red Lobster on my way home. yummy. Home now and just watching some dvds and going to crash out on the couch. Thank you all for making this a cool night.

any pics? Car wasn't quite done yet although we discovered the noise WASN'T coming from the throw out bearing but rather a noisy idler pulley

Leaving from the shell station where 33 and 66 meet in sapulpa at 10;30.Hooters show is at northwest expressway in okc.1-4 pm.I'll wear my boldmoves shirt and take a few cards with me.Sounds like yesterday was fun.Some of the ones that were there are going to okc today.Heard paragon pipe had quit the rig there.The knee is doing better.

Good Show. I'd say about 200 cars in total. I'll post pics later.

Congrats to Chris Akins and Mike Bean for bring home some trophies! Chris I grabed yours for you, but David has it. Didn't want it to blow out of the cobra.

Yes congrats guys! Chris let me know when you can get out again and I'll bring your trophy to you.

Thanks to everyone who made it over to Pauls place for an impromtu birthday party. Had fun. Thanks to Paul and Trac for having the guts to have people over to their house.

Hey, thanks David & Paul for retreiving my trophy. I'll get with you David down the road!! I wasn't expecting that at all. I wasn't feeling the greatest later in the evening so I wasn't able to make the end of the show. Old age issues.. I was a very nice show and the weather was great!! Had a great time meeting some new faces!!!

We didn't get that rowdy. The cops let us off with a warning and there was no spachula incident (david and Jarrod )
