if you guys are needing some oem parts i would suggest calling here. they have them for cheaper than the dealer will usually. unless of course you all have the hook up.

I got a set of tall motorsport valve covers, if you need them come get them. Been sitting in my garage for years.

Re: ENGINE
If you use the tall covers I think you need a spacer under the upper intake so keep that in mind.. Can probably get the spacer cheap so I think this would maybe be a cool way to go..

Re: ENGINE
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Also have to look at the oil fill thing. Could put breather caps on them I suppose. Can you get a pic of them?

Re: ENGINE
Actually they say ford racing, they look to be about 3 1/2 inches tall and have breather cap holes on both sides. Been awhile since I looked at 302 valve covers so I assume these are tall ones. All they need is a good cleaning and polish. Yours if you want them.

Re: ENGINE
Hmmmm.....Those don't look to be the extra tall ones I was thinking about. Looks like they might be the same height as the ones that come stock. I'll take em and see what we can do. Perhaps a good powdercoating........HMmmmmmmm..............

Re: ENGINE
i don't think you'd be doing those covers a service by powdering them. unless maybe you are talking about just in between the polished raised parts/fins (whatever you want to call it). maybe if there was a very professional powder guy in town that could do multiple colors and really make that ford racing look like it should

Re: ENGINE
I saw those over there.
Bob I was thinking maybe to have them coated in black and sand down the raised portion to expose the metal again.

Re: ENGINE
Those valve covers will look great. On my 85 I took high temp paint to them and then sanded off the veins. I think it will look great! Powder coat would look good as well.

Paul let me know.... I will watch. Im want to know how city workers feel. You know just staning around. Brent had a good joke when we were at Davids house putting Jerrys X pipe on the cobra Yesterday.
He said there is a new invention that may put half the city workers out of a job....... Its a shovel that can hold itself up.

Re: ENGINE
I have the 80mm mass air calibrated for the 19lb injectors still. I also have the stock tube and air box from my 2002 with a K&N. Not sure what that would look like under the hood..

Re: ENGINE
Are we going to hand port the heads? I think between Brents experience and davids we can knock this out. What do you think? Should be good for some HP

Re: ENGINE
I dont think he is wanting to pull the heads off Jarrod. That brings in a whole lot more work to the project.
