Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
I have the CDC Classic chin spoiler on and really just want to lower the back end. The front will scrape my driveway if it goes any lower and the back sits about 1 inch higher. What springs would anyone recommend to lower the rear 1 inch and will any other parts be necessary? Plan on getting it aligned after. Anybody just lower the rear?
Thanks Scott.
Thanks Scott.

Re: Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
ive seen pro kit eibach rear springs will level out the car nicely. it lowers the rear 1.6 inches i believe.
Re: Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
i don't know of any springs that will do what you are wanting to do. the only thing i can think of would be to cut your stock springs, but really i would recommend buying an entire set. when you just add the rear you would then have to different spring rates on the front and back. there are other kits that will only drop your car 1" rather than the eibach pro kit which drop it 1.5" (approx)

Re: Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
ive talked to many guys that buy a set of springs and just use the rear ones to level the car. now, youll be spending the same for just 2 springs and have the other 2 left over, but youll be doing what you want so its up to you on whether its worth it or not.

Re: Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
i wonder what that will look like since most kit's lower the back only 1/4" lower than the front not a full inch lower.

The Roush specifically call for lowering the rear 1 inch over stock height. Found many people who have done it with no ill results. Here is a before and after of the roush springs installed only in the rear. The after is the top picture.

Re: Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
wow that's a good deal. still not low enough imo, but it keeps you from having to get an alignment i bet. i'd still highly recommend at least getting it checked because you are lowering it. your rear end might be a little off due to it being lower. if it is you'll need an adj. panhard bar to re-center it. i'd recommend BMR for this. this is the first place i go to whenever i'm looking to buy anything. great prices and the absolute best customer service. best thing is to give him a call cuz you'll find his site doesn't have half of anything on there. kinda sucks, but i never go there anyway.

I would prefer to lower it more but due to my steep driveway there is no way it can go any lower but I like the look of making the front and back even.

Re: Lowering the rear on my 05 GT?
You could reform the driveway
But in all reality...have you tried backing up at an angle? I know if I just back straight up my front scrapes...but at an angle its just enough to not.
