I visit tulsa
hey all, from tulsa and come back there multiple times throughout the year. all my family still lives there. in the army stationed in fort hood, texass deployed to iraq. i have an 07 mustang GT. everytime i make it up there it seems that something or another keeps me from being able to visit the track which really sucks as i've been wanting to go to that one for a while now. my best time at the crappy track down in central texas is a 13.56 on street tires and a 12.86 on MT ET Streets.
mods include:
jlt cai
sct xcal II w/ bamachips 93 octane tunes
eibach pro kit springs
bmr adj panhard bar, panhard bar support, lca's
tokico d-specs
steeda tri-ax w/ pistol grip handle
konig beyond 18x8.5 fronts 9.5 rears w/ 255's and 295's bfg kdw II's
stock V6 16's with 26x10.5 ET streets for the track (running 15psi)
stock option 3.55's
slp loudmouths
frpp x-pipe
things that don't matter so much:
14" vinyl strips dark blue metallic
tinted lights all around
3rd brake light says "rice cooker"
tinted windows 5% on 3 rear windows and 30% on doors
carriage works black powder coated grill. upper and lower
cut my stock antenna to about the same height as the roof
have, but haven't installed yet:
cs/gt rear facia
bmr drive shaft loops
i'll also have a kenne bell 2.8H mammoth waiting for me when i get back. as much as i'm against the bap i'm debating on using it for now to save on cost till i can do my long block and will need the dual pumps.
well thats a tiny bit about me and about everything about my car. as you can see i'm not much into adding looks except for the things that are musts such as wheels.

Re: I visit tulsa
Hey BOB welcome!!! Nice looking ride you have! and thank you for serving our country!
Looks like youve got that thing setup pretty well....When will you be back to Tulsa next? I had a buddy stationed at Ft Hood...then transferred to a base in Denver and is now in Afghanistan. He is military intellegence.
My Father is also a retired Lt Col. Army
Again welcome to the site!

Re: I visit tulsa
i'll be getting married next year there unless the army decides to move me to far away so it's not feasible to have the wedding there. i'm trying to get to fort sill. my son lives a few hours from tulsa still. i don't come back till spring possibly summer. if it is spring i'll have to try to make room for the tires and hope i can get the kenne bell on there for the trip also. would be nice to get it to the track finally.

Kenne Bell in your future?? not fair!! We have a few members with the Kenne Bell and they love it.
Well keep us in the loop on your arrival...we will make sure we schedule a get together possibly at the track.

Re: I visit tulsa
yeah i'm looking at the 2.8H with the mammoth intake though rather than the 2.6L basic kit that's been out for a while. it's only the difference of getting a tune, injectors, and pumps

Re: I visit tulsa
originally i was going to forge it. i even called archangel and talked to him about doing it while i was gone. he never did get back with me though. he was supposed to email me with numbers on the build. our tour over here was supposed to be for 15 months and pretty sure that got nixed. so just the sc'er now rather than both at once. looked for the minimum boost out of it which is 10psi. that should be close to 500 at the wheels. if it starts to go over that i'll see what they can do with the tune to really make it conservative.

Re: I visit tulsa
hahaha mine are in texass. just burn your tires till you are forced to need new ones. then you'll have to have a reason to get some tires. DR's are tires after all.

Welcome to the sight! Sounds like you are about to have a beast on your hands!
Hector, I should be picking up 2 sets of hoosier 27x10.5x15 slicks this weekend. I MIGHT be able to be talked out of one, but I had plans for both sets. They are slightly used but still have a ton of life left in them I believe. Message me if interested.

Welcome Kelley! You have come to the right place! Sounds like you have a great car! Most of the club uses Steeda UDP's. You can shop around on the net for the best deal. There is always someone running a special.
As far as Joining the club just come to an event and the cost for membership is $20. This will get you all the info for the club and a fancy T-shirt. We use the money to pay for the shirts and help fund some of our events from time to time. In the meantime make yourself at home and chat away. You will find the group here on the forum quite entertaining and useful for information. Part of the great things about this club is the information sharing and atmosphere. We have a great time.
Again Welcome!
