retarded technicians

soo i just heard from the dealership(will remain unnamed) i bought my sgt through the car is there and WAS ready untill one of the dumbass techs decided to mess with it. im ASS-suming he was trying to update the airbag computer so its up to the 09 specs(everyone remembers that letter about the airbag problem) anyways he probably plugged into the wrong computer(the engine comp) from what i understand he wiped the entire computer so shelbys having to send out a new tune for the engine. the car runs barely at the moment, im sure as hell not going to pick it up now till they fix it. it wont be ready till thursday, i WAS suppose to pick it up tuesday...

Wow that sucks man. I hope they get it figured out quick for ya. My guess is thats just a cover story for somthing else they did. Perhaps a scratch or somthing that has to be repaired.

i dont think its a story, i actualy got a letter from shelby about this about 4 months ago, evidently its a common occurance, the techs plug into the wrong computer to reprogram the airbag and their flash tuners automaticaly try to put a stock mustang gt tune in. the cars will run on them just not really well. when i had my first sgt serviced i talked to the head mechanic i bill knight ford(at that time it was united ford) i showed him the letter and basicaly told him i held him responsible for my car. they brought it up to spec without any porblem. but it does happen alot fo shelbys sadly

I wasnt aware the shelby GTs came with a different tune than a GT. They arent any faster than a GT...as well as not putting down better dyno numbers? What gives?

They have the factory Ford Racing cold air kit on them.

i just got a call they got the tuner in and its running now. i pick it up tommarow :)
