My Weather App !
Requesting permission to share the following. Please just delete if I'm not supposed to do this, but I figured I'd let you all know about my weather app a friend and I are making. I know most of you are interested in weather living in OK anyway :-)
It's called RainAware. It will be out in a few weeks. I will start in App Store and also move towards Android.
It tells you what time it's gonna rain (or snow, or sleet , or ice), and if it's already precipitating, it tells you what time it will stop. To within a few minutes. Up to 3 hours out. It's more accurate within 1 hour than say 2 or 3, but the idea is that it updates every minute and recalculates using the latest data to hone in on the perfect solution. You cannot get this information ANYWHERE. And most of the time, it's as good or BETTER than a meteorologist staring at Radar.
Just think of the uses. I have a ton of information here:
http://www.rainaware.com
And I would be honored if you would "Like" it on Facebook, and also tell your friends about it!

Maybe I will be able to secure some free apps to give to a few board members! Let me know if ya'll have any questions. I am very excited about this app. It's not going to be a cheapy app...because it requires us to maintain data servers and we create a custom forecast for your GPS location every time you use it. But still, for what it does, it's very very cheap. Probably $9.99 one time.

Re: My Weather App !
It's for sale today! Wow what a day, I am so happy.
Here is the link to our website:
http://www.rainaware.com/
It's not a "cheapo" app (even though app store mentality is for fee or cheap), but basically the price of an extra value meal. We have to run intensive servers which calculate your precise data by request (every minute!). We were going to do higher but dropped it at last minute.
If anyone has ANY questions about RainAware, please ask. It's mean to be "simple", but there is a learning curve. Once you get used to it, this will be an invaluable tool. Keep those cars clean and out of the rain LOL!

Re: My Weather App !
I wish I could just copy the code from my computer to your iphone but I can't. Only way to get it installed is through iTunes. However, since I am the maker I can take suggestions for features from you guys or whatever. I'm all ears!
That said, we just sent in an update, should show up soon....not only does it use your GPS, but you can choose cities by state and "go there" and see precip times. Useful if you are traveling.
