who here would be interested in having an event at Oklahoma sheriffs training track? its a nice facility, and normally not open to the public. i have run several times on the track and let me say it is INCREDIBLY FUN! this would be an event for next year. approximate cost would be $30 a car(subject to change, but not by much). this event would most likely be run with OMC(oklahoma mustang club)

right now i need to figure out how many people would be interested.

time to swap out the drag suspension boys, it's time to go road racing!

Yea Zac, I need to get new control arms and swap out my brakes. Thinking about doing a Cobra swap for the money I would spend on new rotors and pads. (around $200, and Cobra swap can be found for 250-300)

Lee, if you don't have FLSFC's, your around the track and overall handling will be still just as worthless as after swapping LCA's and/or UCA's or other suspension components. Also if you think a Cobra brake setup is a good move for vastly improved (and by "vastly" I don't mean at or near professional brake setup) braking, I'd reconsider if I were you. Good value over what you have = yes, but the Cobra setup has its flaws. Ford doesn't drop in an AP Racing (that's right. Fuck Brembo or Baer, not that they are poor setups. IMO, AP kills them both) brake setup for a reason. For Ford, it has to be cost justifying first. Performance second. The calipers are decent (I think Ford contracted out PBR for them, and per my driving experience with these 2 POTs on the Mach and my Termi, and per my research, is a decent company), the pads are crap, the rotors are crap, and no stainless lines. If you are looking for improvement on a budget, I would only consider getting the Cobra calipers at most, then get some quality pads and rotors and SS lines. On the rotors, I'd stay away from fully cross drilled ones. That's just my $0.02. I'm sure someone else will chime in with a different opinion

I'm always down for something like this. The best thing you can do for braking is to swap out your fluid for racing brake fluid. Helpd immensly.

On another note, what ever happened to a rally, poker run, go cart racing etc? Car shows are fun for the comraderie, but we need some action! For the poker runs, we could get Hooter's girls to hand out the cards.

I'm jes sayin'!

Tyler just upgraded his to the Cobra set-up and the lines are already leaking (granted they were used). I would prolly just got with a slotted rotor and ss lines.

I will be making my ouw SFCs this winter. I have side exhaust, so clearance becomes an issue with the manufactured products.

aye.

Hey Aaron, do you have subframe connectors on the GT? Looking at different setups trying to decide if I want to buy some or build my own. MM looks to have the best design, but too big for side exhaust. Spintech is a good design, but how much torsion strength is lost due to the clearance for the exhaust outlet?

He's got MM FLSFC's on the Mach he bought from me. Welded in black powdercoat. I thought the MM design was superior when I put them on the Mach (or at least superior to what was/is still available to purchase, Kenny Brown made some good stuff for the SN95's back in the day)

i bought stainless lines, they just hadn't come in yet (have them now) the cobra brakes are an improvement over the standard gt brakes the pads and rotors aren't anything special but compared to what it cost to get other brakes (cobra r's brembos etc) they are a good deal i cut my stopping distance by quite a bit with the upgrade. hopefully now i can outrun the s2k's and vettes out there
