GOP primary 2012
Ok so the ball is rolling and the field is taking shape. I'd like to have a civil discussion of the candidates. I'm not sold on anyone yet and I'm kinda independent I voted for Clinton in '96 then Bush twice then Huckabee will not admit to McCain but he was all that was left I wanted Hillary.
So we got: Bachman, Paul, Romney, and Perry anyone I'm leaving out?
Sell me on one cause no way in hell I wanna see Obama part 2.
Please be civil not everyone is going to agree and that's good.

I'm thinking Mit Romney with Herman Cain VP ticket would get the job done.

Re: GOP primary 2012
I want someone who has some kind of leadership ability. Give me someone who can stand up tell everyone the way it is going to be. There is a bunch of puppets and in washington and a lot of "change" needs to happen. Regardless of who runs, this country desperately needs a person who has the ability to stand up and lead us forward. Democrat or Republican, give me a leader!!

Lord i hope not! Romney is just another big gov't guy and Cain wouldnt know what to do. i was a big Herman Cain supporter at first, but hes dropped the ball big time lately. i would vote for Rick Santorum today if i had to pick a candidate currently in the race. that will change once Rick Perry formally announces his candidacy.
Re: GOP primary 2012
I'm leaning Rick Perry just because he has better proven Executive Experiance the WH is not a OJT place.

I'm a Rick Santorum guy myself. I have listened to him speak and to me he gets it. I think because he has it figured out that is what scares everyone. They don't want someone who knows what to do by themselves, that would upset the government apple card too much. They want someone with the strings attached still so it looks like they know what they are doing, but is nothing more than another puppet.

I'm waiting, but it must be someone that can beat Voldemort. I've seen a glimmer in a few candidates, but nothing to blow my skirt up yet.

Re: GOP primary 2012
Just never been a Mit fan. While I like his business experience, I'll be honest, the Mormon thing creeps me out. I know Warren Jeff's and Mit's Mormonism are different... It still just creeps me out. Plus anyone that would actually want more than one wife nagging them all the time, must have flawed decision making a ability.
I'm still undecided. But, I think right now Ron Paul could really grab some traction if he plays it right. People in general are fed up with both sides of the isle.
I really wanna hear which one talks about China. They are ever increasingly gaining share economically and militarily. The trade balance with them is terrible and it's killing our jobs and economy. If you look at the numbers, it's down right scary. And how much do we owe them?

what kills me is the Right complains about the "same old politics" yet they nominate the "same old candidates" or people like them. Mitt Romney reminds me of the same old cookie cutter candidate that will talk big and make generalizations but when hes elected, will do nothing. its like the RNC loves to nominate the "safe" candidate. like you said Jerry, when someone has it all figured out and actually has answers, that scares the hell out of the execs of the party.
Re: GOP primary 2012
The two Texans have my interest so far. I have been reading up on Ron Paul and know why the mainstream doesn't like him he wants to give thier power back to the people from what I have read. My only sticking point is his lack of support of Israel.

lack of support for anything overseas is more like it. im worried that he would even want us to retaliate from an attack on our own shores.

Re: GOP primary 2012
I'm very much a conservative. And worked on a few campaigns for past and present candidates.
Like a growing amount of Americans, I'm growing weary of the BS. It seems like now more than ever, as soon as an individual is elected, they start campaigning for the term instead of trying to fix the problems.
Like Christmas advertising, the campaign ads seems to start earlier and earlier each year.

Thought this was funny. Ron Paul is the topic and the bias media pushing him aside.

Re: GOP primary 2012
The more I read about Rick Perry the more I get excited about him running for president. I did a bit of research on him the other day and he seems really legit. He's a gun toting, budget balancing, tax lowering, moral, conservative. I found this to be an interesting read from his site: http://www.rickperry.org/about/
