Warranty TSB Released from Ford
A very good read and something everyone should know before choosing to mod your vehicle. I dont agree with everything said, but it does give you a great insight to what the "other side" is thinking.

Re: Warranty TSB Released from Ford
Good article. I agree with both. I think you pretty much have to accept responsibility if go in excess of 100mph off road. On the other hand the frame should not be the weak link. There will be an aftermarket fix soon. And Ford engineers are fast at work fixing the problem. BTW... Ford has the largest frames out there... So if bent that... Damm.
No other truck comes close to matching the Raptor (no not even the after-though Mopar) . I still want one of these trucks.

Re: Warranty TSB Released from Ford
Yeah I agree with the decision that Ford reached. If they want to tear their trucks to hell then they need to be ready to shell out the bucks to fix them. I do also agree that the frame should not be the weak point of the truck, but tbh it shouldnt really be a problem for most ppl, I mean if you plan to do what these guys did then reinforce it before you go, problem solved.

Re: Warranty TSB Released from Ford
Wow... They ran these raptors stock in the baja 1000. You cant say they should take responsibilty for doing 100mph off road. They were built for that as are your cars built for 100+ on road. So you are basically saying you shouldnt bitch when you break something drag racing and warranty wont cover it

I think it's a case by case decision... I don't think you could throw a blanket statement out here. Each case has the potential of being completely different. For example, If I blew up my clutch drag racing at the track.... You're damm right I'd try to get it covered by the warrentee. However, if they say "we saw you at track when it broke"... I probably would eat it and say chalk it up as lessons learned. But, yes I would try but I would not expect it. I would accept the responsibility.
Even though the underlining purpose of these trucks is to take off road, they are considered "street vehicles". Where would one draw the line? It should be that the truck should be able to survive a jump from 1 ft? 3 ft? 5ft? Maybe 15ft? Perhaps 86 ft?
IMO- They Mustangs and Raptors are Street Vehicles with "off road (strip or dirt) capabilities". And since those guys have posted the video, they really don't have a chance of winning that case. The only thing Ford could do at this point is to say "screw it, we'll fix them for PR purposes." Which is what I would do if I were them...

Re: Warranty TSB Released from Ford
And i would in turn show them all the ford videos of the raptor being torture tested in "off road" form and ask, well why cant i do it? You showed me how bad ass this is, why am i not allowed to do the same thing.
Fyi, i havent watched or read the article yet... Just dont agree with showing me the raptor did the baja 1000 stock and then say i cant do it

Re: Warranty TSB Released from Ford
Look fine print my ass... they still show on their site ( http://www.ford.com/f150raptor/ ) the raptor hitting "bumps" just as bad as these guys were. They over and over tout this as a factory ready baja 500/1000 truck. Apparently it is an inherent frame problem with all new F150's.
NEW FORD RAPTOR WEB PAGE JOINS SIMULATOR IN OFFERING CONSUMERS TASTE OF NEW OFF-ROAD TRUCK
* Ford F-150 SVT Raptor comes to life online with a new Web page designed to offer enthusiasts a closer look at the high-performance off-road truck
* A Ford F-150 SVT Raptor driving simulator visiting auto shows across the U.S. gives consumers the opportunity to experience off-roading in the desert
* 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor is a purpose-built, high-performance off-road truck versatile enough to take on the most challenging desert adventures as well as the everyday commute
DEARBORN, Mich., March 6, 2009 – With a look born in the desert, the new Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Web page is a place enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the experience of driving a truck built to excel in the most extreme conditions. Launching today, the new Web page – www.fordvehicles.com/f150raptor – highlights the expansive features of Ford’s new high-performance off-road truck.
“We wanted to ensure the site is true to what Raptor is, emphasizing it as different and unique,” said Eric Peterson, Ford’s Truck and SUV communications manager. “Delivering Raptor’s unique durability and performance is something only Ford can do, staying true to both our tough truck and racing heritage. We wanted to make that clear through the site.”Unique Web Site Content
Unique applications on the site, like a 360-degree view, give consumers a thorough perspective of the truck and allow them to get a closer look at the features and functions that make it such a capable off-road vehicle. By clicking over components unique to the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, such as front shocks, engine, design cues and tires and wheels, visitors can learn more about what gives the truck its distinct personality.
Visitors also will get to see the truck in action, with videos demonstrating its capability in extreme terrain. One video showcases Raptor R, the racing version of the production Ford F-150 SVT Raptor developed by SVT and Ford Racing, by highlighting clips and interviews with key players from its successful racing debut at the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.
In addition to the 360 view and videos, information and photos about the F-150 SVT Raptor will enhance the site. But these aren’t glamour shots. These are Raptors in action.
“There are not a lot of pristine photos. People will see mud and dirt on it, doing the things only the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor can do,” said Peterson. “Most websites have beauty shots, but we show how the truck is actually used.”
Visitors to the Web site also can request a customized brochure or build an F-150 SVT Raptor with the content they desire.
Experience a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Ride
A high-end driving simulator also is bringing consumers closer to experiencing Raptor in its element – racing across the desert. Touring auto shows across the country, the simulator pivots on four axes: tipping forward, backward, moving side-to-side and going up and down, with the ability to spin 180 degrees. Actual engine recordings from the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor R race truck enhance the experience, while bumps and jolts when the driver goes off-course ensure a realistic ride
Designed using off-road footage, the race course and the desert landscape are projected on a screen in front of the driver. The course gives three unique experiences: a close course with tight turns, a rocky area and an open desert area with tracks to follow.
“If we can’t put people in a Raptor at an auto show, we can put them in the next best thing so they can see what it’s like,” said Brian Bell, Ford’s F-150 consumer marketing manager. “We want people to understand the unique capability of this truck, that it can do things that other trucks just can’t.”

Its 800 dollars and seems to be a big F150 problem, just fix it or tell people NOT TO OFFROAD, doesnt matter the extreme to me.
