ever had a bad expirience......
with an auto shop? i typically wont let anyone touch my car unless im standing there bird doggin them. i feel bad for the kids and Hibdon when im gettin a tire changed or an alignment. im sure i make them nervous. i know i hate it when my boss parks it and watches me. It just seeems like there are so many retards that wanna work on cars. i found this on a different forum and it made me laugh.
background on this is the 07- mid production 09 shelbys have a TSB on the clutch/flywheel. basically the flywhell gets hot under "urban driving conditions" warps and puts drag on the clutch causing it to wear faster than normal. this guy took his to the dealership, it has like 14k miles and his clutch is slippin. the response from the FORD DEALERSHIP SERVICE TECH!!!!!!!!! cracks me up
im glad we have some good shops around here. both okc and tulsa. i know there are some around here i wouldnt let change the oil on my k5, but some seem to have great service departments. i had a great exp. with one in guthrie where i bought my yellow gt and hopefully going to have a good one with coop ford in yukon next week with the shelby. i feel bad for this guy

When I talked to Grand Prairie Ford this morning, I spoke with Daniel who told me it was definitely a warranty issue and the clutch was covered. I admit, that surprised me a bit. A couple hours later, Daniel had spoken with others in the service dept. and told me it was 'probably" a warranty issue as they had looked at the TSB but they would have to do a formal diagnostic first, that would be $105. After that, they could tell me for sure if the clutch was covered. At 4:30 I spoke with Daniel and they had taken the car out but couldn't repeat the issue. They would try again in a few minutes and I would know something by 7, when they closed.
At 6 I got a call from another service rep telling me Daniel was no longer with the company and the clutch probably isn't covered and they still couldn't duplicate the issue. So I went over and took him for a ride on the highway. Got the Shelby up to 60, then gave it some gas and the clutch slipped, revs went from 2000 to 4500. He said that's not a slipping clutch, it's something inside the transmission. Once the clutch pedal is released, the clutch plays no part in the drivetrain. So it's in the transmission. Then he asked me to do it again so I did and he said "oh, I see, you're giving it too much gas You can't accelerate that fast, that's whats going on." Then he told me the clutch definitely isn't covered but by that time I was done and didn't want anyone from that dealership twisting wrenches on my car

What a marooooon. (Bugs Bunny voice) "oh, I see, you're giving it too much gas You can't accelerate that fast, that's whats going on." That's just too funny. I would have lost it if someone said that to me. LOL!!

That is just scary haha.
Reminds me of the Autozone guy that told me my 4x4 truck didn't have a transfer case.
