Help me hook up my HTC EVO smartphone in my 05 GT.
Ok so my 05 GT has the aux button but from what I understand you cannot tap into it on the cheap. What is the best way to hook my smartphone into my 05 GT? I really don't want to buy a new head unit...maybe trade or buy an 07 and up that has a true input for the aux? Anybody have one or have a better suggestion?
Thanks Scott.
Thanks Scott.

Are you just wanting to hear music? What smartphone do you have?

I have the HTC EVO. I would like to hear music and when I use it for GPS navigating I would like to hear it through my car speakers.

Here is a possible idea....connects to ciagarette lighter...uses and FM signal and captures a station kind of like an FM transmitter, BUT uses Bluetooth to catch the info from your phone. Might work....but Im not sure how well

You could also go with a cheap FM trasmitter....they can be purchased all day on ebay cheap. Again...not sure how well they work.

Re: Help me hook up my HTC EVO smartphone in my 05 GT.
id go with one that connects wirelessly, i had one that wired to my ipod and it was an fm transmitter like jarrod said, anyways my gf had the ipod in her lap and went to get out and it ripped the cord out. so yea thats 70 bucks that i didnt feel i should spend again if it breaks that easily i mean not really a design flaw just be careful if you do get a wired one.

I personally am not a fan of the wireless ones... too much static... I don't know how the 05 GTs work, but on mine had an Aux In port, and just got a cable to go from my phone to that port, and viola! Plays music and GPS...
I have an aftermarket head unit, but yea...

Ha! Sorry - didn't look up far enough! Scott's the OP! But Scott - that Mustang's so old now you should just go ahead and trade it in on a new one.
