Mid-America 2011

I was in the cruise threw town to Brookside - That was a long long line of cars doing that cruise - Can't wait to do it this year too !

Totally. Last year tyler and i misread the website and showed up too late. Had a mini cruise of other people tbat came late though. hopefully the roads are better this year, his mufflers were pretty scarred the next day.

I just hope to keep my car on track for each session this year Taking it in for a thorough top-to-bottom inspection as soon as the weather clears. Still have a coolant leak somewhere............... If I can stay on track, I will make up for the rides I didn't give last year.

Dont be scaring the newbies... all you need for a ride along is a helmet, long sleeves and pants and close-toe shoes

I am not a newbie! I meant it as if I dont want a ride if you need a fire suit, implying he will crash. I was kidding

I know you arent, just dont want people thinking they cant do ride alongs unless they have a full suit...

The suit is only required for Drivers who are participating in the Exhibition Races. I've had to borrow a suit the last two years for the race and was excited to finally get my own................. There! Does everybody feel better? It's not like I said anything about "helmets".................

No, it's not orange. I had to get something to match my (ahem) helmet, gloves and shoes; and something that wouldn't clash with the silver Boss LS. And I didn't want to spend the coin for a "custom" suit. So the choices were limited. If I were just considering the LS, Simpson has a really good looking black and silver suit. But I would have to buy new gloves and shoes (do I sound like a woman at a mall yet?)

So I bought the black and blue sateen SFI-5 suit. Black and blue, kind of like my body after I told the wife about the Boss

So when's the Boss due? There was a really cool show on Speed about the development of the Boss. I would love to have a LS.

Can't wait to see that LS edition in action Jeff. As usual I'm sure well have a great time hanging out and watching from the pits.

No Boss for Mid-America this year.

It's a 4th qtr build, so I may not get it 'till next Christmas

Most likely not

I wouldn't recommend driving your car at Hallet for most during the Shelby meet. Try HST.
