Smoked a Camaro
Decided to take a cruise in the beast to Tenkiller today. Had a great time. The car sticks like crazy on those curves with the new suspension and tires. I love it. Can't wait to get to Hallett. Anyway, headed home on the Muskogee turnpike, cruise set at 80, and an older style Camaro SS pulls up next to me and racks his pipes. I put my clutch in and racked mine as well and he nails it. I shift down slowly from 6 to 4 (don't want to do 2nd for sure!) and he's 2 lengths ahead of me. I walked all over him and since 4th was headed to redline and I was 6-8 lengths ahead of him, I figured I had nothing left to prove so I shut it down. He must have been emabarassed because he continued and roared past me (they call that a ricer fly by right?). I had no idea my car was that much stronger than his. Guess he'd better think twice before he messes with a Shelby, a Cobra, or many of our wonderful turner Mustangs. I'm glad I could show him my fiery tailpipes and my BMMC decal in my back window.....

Re: Smoked a Camaro
I read you post about 2nd gear - My nephew has a Shelby GT 500 - He let me drive it and then took it away when I missed a gear and ground a half pound a coffee - But , that is a Beast of a Machine ( LOL ) Even if an Old School could hang with you - He would still either over heat or run out of gas first ( LOL )

really??? did you know that the 93 mustangs are slower than the 04's and the 04's are slower than the 05's and now the 11 V6 models are faster than the 10 GT's.... You have one sweet freekin car, but no way an old camaro should have any thing for you at all, or most anything older for that! Take this as a compliment, your car is fast

Re: Smoked a Camaro
It was a good looking car. Well kept and all. It was one of those models that looks like a space ship with a hood scoop on it....

Re: Smoked a Camaro
I was just messin with him, his car is fast! And I love muscle cars, but most aren't any where near the speed of newer cars, especially gt500.

Re: Smoked a Camaro
Haha its funny you have a similar story as my brother. He beat a 2010 SS with a full exhaust by almost 6-8 lengths from a second gear roll.
