2011 V6 Announced.

This has been out a few days but in case anyone hasn't heard...

Highlights:
305 hp (Most powerful base model ever)
6 speed! (auto and manual)
Dual Exhaust. (Positive this is a first for a base model)
No mention of a IRS... :(
Will Mark trade his in???

Conclusion:
The V8 should be bad ass.
If the V6 gets the 6 speed obviously the GT will too.
The GT V8 should officially be announced within the next month or so....

This tells me that the 5.0 is coming back, and it's going to be awesome. I tell you what's scary is that the '11 V6 could outgun a current GT. Power to weight ratio will make it a sleeper on the drag strip. A couple small mods should put it into the 12 second zone with ease considering how much less weight it has over the GT. I wonder how much torque?

Nevermind I see it has 280 TQ. I also see there is a performance package available which gives you some upgrades. Very cool. I hope there is a factory whipple box to check on the GT. Lol

The mustang is finally getting to the level of refinement and performance one should expect for the price. Maybe, just maybe, i will trade the truck in on a daily sixer. With a tune and some bolt ons, I bet it could be one hell of a sleeper. However, you know that if the LX is this impressive, the GT is going to be that much better.

I can't wait to see the spec sheet on the GT

Yeah, I read this about a month ago and had the same thoughts: What's the GT and Shelby going to have in it? Maybe trade up in '12?

I predict the GT will have at least 306hp...

I did you old fart the motor is nick named the coyote its a 5.0 modular 400 HP unless they go direct injection then it should be at least 425 hp

I think as soon as the specs and pricing are out for the '11 GT and GT500 I will make a decision on which one. It will most likely be one of the '11 offerings or a 08-10 GT500 for me.

I have to be careful in my new position but this was already out by someone else so I'll let SC take the blame since that is the guy I got it from. I have been privy to alot of behind the scenes info enough to make my head spin. It is hard to contain my excitement sometimes but this will be known as the Year of the Mustang! before it's all over.
