Air Force Blaster Empty Air Force Blaster

Post by Metric7 12/14/2009, 10:39 pm

Anyone have (or ever heard) of this? http://www.cardryer.com/Cardryer.html . It's a fancy reverse-vacuum for drying a car or motorcycle. It blows warm filtered air, so there's no risk of blowing grit onto the paint as there would be if using an air compressor, shop vac, etc. It's gotten rave reviews on amazon.com; I may be the guinea pig and get one. Amazon sells them for $169; would be worth it to completely dry a car in 7 minutes with no risk of scratches.

Very cool. One thing. If you get a hepa filter fir you shop-vac wouldn't that be the same thing. Seems you could do with a shop vac for $30-40 and save the rest. The Shop vac (mine at least) has an exhaust port the hose can attach to and it is filtered air.

Guilty - saw it on Speed Channel! If you use a shop vac, though, isn't the "filtered" air coming through the same filter that just screened all the crap picked up from the inside of your car? And, the Air Force Blaster heats its air! Nothing but the best for my Mineral Grey.

Mine doesn't have reverse. you just unscrew the cap and hook up the hose voila, filtered air.

Yah I use something like this at the car wash I go to on 101st and Riverside drive. It works great for the mirrors, door handles, etc.
