I say hes gone. Making Notre Dame a powerhouse like he did with OU would be the Ulitimate. Like em or hate em, there would be a certain prestige in coaching for them, unless your Charlie Weis.

In a round about way he said he'll be in Norman next year if they'll have him. I expect him to stay.

i would say hes not going anywhere. hes got it too good at OU. at Notre Dame, he would have too many people breathing down his neck.

Exactly. Other points are: 1.) Even with this lackluster season he just had, he's still attained Knighthood at OU - he'll never do that at ND unless he wins the NCAA championship with them his first year, which he knows is highly unlikely. 2.) His kids are in junior high; maybe high school now - he won't be uprooting them.
