You'll never know unless you look at it. Maybe the seller can send you some pictures?

Ummm... in the description it states, "THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A SUPER CHARGED 5.4L V-8". It might be SC but it's a 4.6 not a 5.4. Since they got that wrong makes you wonder what else is incorrect... I doubt it's SC...

It obviously doesn't have a 5.4 in it. Makes me suspect of the whole thing

Of course if it doesn't have those options advertised and you buy it, maybe you can threaten to sue if they don't add them? At least the supercharger. Lol

That car is on Craigslist too. It has some engine pics and is definately an SC car. Looks to be a good deal IMO.

I would tell them since it isn't a 5.4 to knock some $$ off the price!

Re: saleen in jenks (need help deciding)
havent had a chance cause i live 2hrs away but jared is going to go by and take pics and get the vin so we can run it... i looked at the pics on craigslist and couldnt see the supercharger under there and it looks like it has the stock airbox and throttle body so that makes me wonder if its just a clone but we'll find out later on

Re: saleen in jenks (need help deciding)
$25K would be at the top end of the price range for me. I would not pay anything more for a Saleen vs. a standard GT but Supercharged is the way to go for sure. Assuming that it is in sound mechanical condition then I would be looking at paint, tires and leather. I love my front leather seats but once they start to break down they look pretty rough.
Clarification: I would pay more for a Saleen just not in this particular case. This car warrants a on site review no doubt.

Re: saleen in jenks (need help deciding)
overal i give the car an 8 out of 10
minor scratchs and few dings keep it from a 9.
the vehicle has a basani midpipe in it no cats. oil has been changed regularly and royal purple has been used since its first oil change.
sounds and runs smoothly with no apparent engine issues. othen then the few dings and a chip i found no road rash except for rock damage to a mesh screen on the front.
personaly there is no doubt in my mind this is an authentic s-281, no sane person would go to the lengths it would require to make a clone like this.
the supercharger sounds good and had no odd noises to it.
overal its a clean vehicle, if you can get a good deal on trade in then take it.
i would recommend another more thourough inspection though, i would like to be able to get under the vehicle to inspect the under side and have more time combing the engine bay.
i say take it after a personal viewing of the vehicle
EDIT: tires are nitto 555 extreme zrs. have about 5k-15k left on them if you dont have yoru foot in it all the time, i could give you a better estimate of tire life left but i didnt have a gauge to measure with on me(or anything other then a phone and a camera)
i also suggest a test drive
