Shelby Sunday Car Show Pics!!!

I remember when Saleen would bring a trailor out. I met Steve Saleen one year in the mid 90s. I'm sure the goons at Shelby would shudder at the thought of letting in another car builder such as roush at this point. I was not impressed with the layout of the show this year. Way way too many vendor trailers right in the middle of the car show. What I don't get is why couldn't they circle the wagons so to speak. Placing all the semi trailers around the outer perimeter of the show area? Honestly I think the show could use a new place. The hotel parking lot has been out grown I think.

Yeah, they should move it out to the fairgrounds - plenty of room out there (if there's not a flea market or gun show going on the same weekend). Plus, Drillers Stadium will be available next year - we can park on the infield! Dibs on home plate!

Hell. For that matter they should do it inside expo square. Then the weather wouldn't matter.

Agreed! It sure would beat getting cooked out in the sun for the fourth day in a row.

Well, I got raped on Sunday. No win on the ballot show for me. What a bunch of horses!t. I was one of seven in my class and the Mach that won was funkin dirty, presented crappy, and had virtually no mods done to it. Oh, then there was the guy that had his wife make the gay signs "It's my owner's birthday vote for me". He walked out with a runner up.

I did win a $100 gift certificate for Marti, which may be up for sale soon (for $100 locally) as I probably will have no need for it.

i am not saying they cant have they show without the vendors. this was the first time ive ever seen any thing like this i guess i was in awe of all the bad ass cars there i didnt even notice the vendors (that is till i was looking for hood struts)my thought was simply the whole production must cost some seriuos coin and it could hinder all the cool attractions that were there or could efect the price. i prob spent more time than anyone in the club total at the diff events (you have to remember i was a virgin)im glad i got to drool over the rides. i might notice things that could have been better next year also.

oh i did think of two things i could write a complaint about,they didnt draw my name for a ride in the race car at hallet and i didnt win any JBA L/T headers.

Inside the Expo is probably cost prohibitive, and even outside might be a hassle since there's no hotels around there. I think putting one up where Driller stadium is now would be fantastic.

They used to show the cars on the west side parking lot, which worked much better space-wise, but I'm sure some hotel guests complained (whiners!). IMO putting all of the vendors in one spot (say on the south side) would work much better. That way there would be more room for -- here's a thought -- CARS!

2 things....years ago..there were NO vendors...same amount of cars...and it was cheaper to enter the show. Much better In my opinion.
