WTB stock 4.6 05-09 airbox

really all i need is the lid. PM what you got and how much?

Im sure someone has one. Why do you need it?

because my IAT is to high with a cold air and i put a stock v6 on for now in it droped like 20-25 degrees but on the lid of the box off the v6 its only like 2.5 instead of the same as the gt one which is like 3 or 3.5.

Do you have a tune on the car? Dont know if that matters but i dont think any of us have problems with the intake temp

yeah i just have a 91 sct tune but with the stock box it runs way cooler...looks ugly as hell....what intake do you have in what tune?

Robin...the Air temperature does have a lot to do with intake charge...but as it sits your factory tubing is more of a restriction than temperatures. Its very small and therefore your computer cant take advantage of the cold air.

I suggest looking into the JLT II Cold Air Intake...or the C & L Racer Intake. They are proven performers. They incorporate a much much larger tubing to allow more air into the motor...which is where your power comes from. Air intake charge is important and plays a role...but the factory box and tubing is not something I would keep.
