Co-Ed Softball Players Needed

Ok.. I want to put together a softball team to play in the Co-Ed summer leage at Carl Smith. The season fires up June 7th. I am trying to get Friday games but I have to get enough people to commit so we can pay the deposit and hold the day. So far I have me, the wife, a friend, his sort of girl friend and another guy I use to work with so basically we have half a team. We need at least 10, 9 play but if we had 11 or 12 we could still do it just some people would have to sit sometimes but we would have enough people so that one or two could be gone and we could still play. It will cost about $60 per person if we have 10 and that includes the uniforms and a $3 charge per friday night for umpire fees. What we need are about 3 girls and 2 guys. We could do 3 and 3 if we need to.

Actually I used to play in our church league I was the fat catcher. I might be in if enough beer is involved it helps my bad back.

If it were a weekend league, I'd be all over that. I've played sunday men's league out there the last couple of years. Damn swingshift at work!

Friday night is the weekend..

Need some girls on the team though. If George, Kelley and Derek play thats all the guys we can take. That leaves us like 3 to 4 short on girls.. And just like in Arkansas they have to be 16 but they can be family..

I might like to do this. It's been a couple years since I played but sounds like fun

Ok.. I really need to pay the deposit to hold Friday night so I have to figure out of we are going to have a team or not. Derek is in David is a maybe.. Any word David? And can you talk the better half into playing?

As much as I would enjoy playing I just can't commit to anything else right now. If somthing changes I'll let you know.

Ok.. Last chance. I could use one or two guys. I think we are going to be ok on girls but we only have 3 guys committed and one more I think is in but i would like to get 6 so we have a spare guy and girl for no shows. First practice is wed and the first game is June 15th. The cost is $50 and $3 per game for umpire fees.

We both have never played before (man that sounds bad) But My wife and I will play...

haha, no need for that!

some ump in texas got hit while on 2nd base killed him on the spot so they said they were changing core rules this year nationwide, swapped to crappy balls, they are still hard on outside but softer core, they lose their momentum after about 150'

not a single HR was hit this year over the fence at CS on tuesdays

what sucks is that its kinda like the cops, until it happens to them they dont do anything about it, hell more people were hurt last year than just one ump

we have had more injuries this season with these shitty balls than in 3 yrs, two broke hands and ankle

yep, i about broke my ankle third night this season, now got huge ass brace gotta wear sucks, then took a guy out on second last game of yr and fugged it up again, that was almost a month ago and still hurts like hell, haha damn shifting foot too!

a bunch of us are going to petition CS to go back to the old softballs

at hidden valley in owasso they played with evil balls they kicked ass kinda like hitting a golfball with a baseball bat

golf ball with a baseball bat... ahhhhh brings back memories... why the hell would someone park there car where I am hitting a golf ball with a baseball bat.... don't people know that when you hit a golfball with a baseball bat from your driveway down the street that your car might be in its landing zone... seriously... why couldn't they have parked a few feet away.. or the neighbors driveway.. or hell just park in the back yard
