Thinking about selling
So I'm thinking about sellling my black 05 GT w/ 40k miles. I'm wanting to get a z06 vette. What do you guys realistically think I could get for my car? It has C&L racing intake. Hurst short throw. Pypes O/R x-pipe and flowmasters. Red leather interior shaker 1000 5% tint. 18' black fr500s. Lowered on eibach sport springs. Black billet grill. Blackout taillight covers. Gt500 spoiler. That's all I can think it has. Lol

Re: Thinking about selling
I would check www.ebaymotors.com and see what they are going for. With it being an 05 and with 40k miles your not going to get out of it what you want.
low teens I would suspect 13k 14k 15k Just have to look and see what they are currently going for.

Re: Thinking about selling
If you haven't driven a Vette, I strongly encourage you to do so before selling your S197. I'm pretty good sized fella; I too wanted a Vette until a friend of mine at work let me drive his Z06 - terrific car, but very uncomfortable for anyone of stature such as myself. Got me over my case of Vette envy real quick.

Re: Thinking about selling
Oh hey I still have your stock grille if you want it or if you wanted to change it out. I haven't been to tulsa in forever so I haven't been able drop it off. When you decide what the price is, will you let us know? One of my brothers may want this.

Re: Thinking about selling
As Grabber said in the low Teens. There are stock 2005's in the 12k range and since the mods maybe 14k. There is just so many out there and the market is down.

Re: Thinking about selling
With the 2010's starting to show up at dealerships, it will just continue to drop the price on the current s197's. Saturday night I stopped by Joe Cooper to check out the black 2010 they had and saw a 2008 Stage 3 Roush for 28k! It wasn't used either! Kinda got me thinkin...

Re: Thinking about selling
your only chance is to trade it in and have them come off the price of the one your buying but there may not be any room to budge. Your kind of screwed both ways. IMO

DO IT TIM!! haha BUY IT!! 28K does seem VERY VERY Cheap for a Stage 3 Roush. Did you look at the Roush dealer sticker too? The MSRP dealership sticker always has the original price for the GT which is in that 25-31k range....then you have to look at the ROUSH price...it adds up all the parts...then lists the final sale price on that dealer sticker.
You sure it was $28k? if so...SNATCH IT UP!

The MSRP on the Stage 3 still would have been low to mid 30s, cost of the premium GT that is always used for the Roush's.... then add another $15k +++ for the Roush parts!
They just got in a P-51a.... I talked to them, if they'll work me a good deal, i'll trade..... if not.... I'm just going to wait and build up a totally forged bottom end with a TVS up top!

Re: Thinking about selling
Your gonna dig yourself a hole doing that Dein, they won't give you anywhere near what you owe on your car. Your better off just installing a new built motor/blower in yours instead of taking a beating on it trading it in.

I agree..... If I could pick it up for $50k - $52k with my trade... I would do it...... other than that.... I did some on like "window" shopping.... I would build a 4.6 Stroker, 3S Cams, Port & Polished Heads, Alum Block, Forged internals, TVS SC for under 12k....... I will prolly start getting stuff at the end of the year....
I need to turn my 4th bedroom back into my garage agian!

Re: Thinking about selling
You wouldnt even need the heads done. Heck with just a forged bottom end and TVS you should be pushing enough power to send you to the moon with enough boost added of course
