I saw this a month or so ago. The throttle body looks small to me... almost like the current V6.

I sure hope this comes out. I'm holding out on any decisions with my current car in hopes that there will be some solid info in the next 6 months or so.

Yes I wonder if the rumors of a factory supercharger option will also come true? That would be the option I will check for sure on the order sheet if its not rediculous.

i was gonna say the same thing. this is in the early stages im sure, but i would imagine they would go with a big twin throttle body.

Re: Spy Photo of the 2011 5.0L Coyote Mustang Engine
I hear ya on that Dave. our 3Vs are in my eyes respectable bolt on cars (capable of 12s with a few minor bolt ons) BUT to be able to compete with everything that has and will be coming out of detroit....we must have more Cubic Inches and POWER. a 302 4V would be a very nice start.....rumor is 400HP 400Tq but Ive also heard they may be underating it and it will be about 35HP and TQ higher than that for the production run.
I could slap a Whipple on mine and call it a day....but would need to go forged down the road...whereas the new Coyote motor might come forged and ready for N20 or a Blower with ease.
Cant wait

Re: Spy Photo of the 2011 5.0L Coyote Mustang Engine
I miss the old 5.0. What a great motor. They built it forever and in my opinion never should have stopped. They should have just kept on refining it.
Side note. Read my new Motor Trend last night. They called the 2010 mustang the best ever built. I had to read it twice, because motor trend is usually the first to ridicule Ford for not out performing the GM counterparts. Pretty good article over all.

Yea, we got two in, they look ok, still like the old style better. The rear end and rear brakes light are just funky looking.

forged? maybe, but i doubt it unless ford offers a factory sc'er
the brake lights just need some tint to make them look better though.
