vid of my car on the dyno
I've had this vid on my camera for awhile. I just uploaded it to my 'puter and thought I'd share with y'all. Sorry for the poor editing skills, I'm still a rookie. No music added.....wanted the full affect of the S/C whine.

395hp/421tq.... SW's dyno is a loaded Mustang Dyno. For comparisson, people say that his dyno reads about 60-70 hp/tq lower than a dyno-jet.

Re: vid of my car on the dyno
Just going by what people say. I think the difference is that the Mustang dyno is loaded and the dynojet isn't. I dyno'd my car on an e-mail tune that was pretty conservative and made 463hp/469tq on HPP's dynojet a couple years ago.

Re: vid of my car on the dyno
Nice #'s! Dynojets do tend to read a little higher. There is a correction factor in all dynos as well. Some are easy to tinker with to produce higher numbers and some arent. the dynojet is not a load dyno so therefore reads a bit higher numbers. The mustang dyno puts a load on the car to simulate real world conditions...thus taking RWHP away. Some say this is better for tuning purposes.
Its all numbers anyways....the real test is at the track

Yea this is all right, but still bugs me that one gt dynoed 320 at Gregs and 290 range on dynojet, the one with less mods than you Jrod. Also, like svt03chris dynoed lower at Gregs than at humble, then Blairs gt500 was right on with 440 range, just makes your head scratch. Oh well, its only good for air/fuel ratio in my book, track is where the proof is!

I agree. Dyno's are finakey. I like the mile per hour at the track. That will usually tell you about your power. It will not lie.
