As a reminder to all....

I enjoy the smack talk as much as the next guy. But! There is a such a thing as going to far. Use your head and show some class. I will not tolerate personal attacks or threats on anyone, period. If I see it or a moderator sees it, we will call you on it.

Like I said, smack talk is fine. Common sense should dictate when you're going too far. If that little voice in your head says" "Hmmm. If I say this it might piss them off." You shouldn't send it. Listen to that voice. 99.9% of the time it's right.

If your self esteem is so low, that you need to need to make personal attacks on other to make yourself feel good, this is not the forum in which to do so. Go elsewhere. I'm sure Dr. Phil has a forum.

If I sound a little harsh, you're correct. I've made several posts regarding being respectful to others and obviously the message isn't getting through.

If you have any concerns, please feel contact me.

Best Regards,
Paul

I'm responsible for the forum. Period. And we're not exempt. You have talked smack (and a fair share of it) yourself. Like I said I don't mind the smack talk it's the personal attacks that I won't tolerate.

Always good to throw out a friendly reminder on proper forum etiquette. good Some forums I won't visit due to very poor etiquette and less then common sense behavior.

Look guys. No one including myself is immune from what were talking about. We don't want anyone to leave or quit. That's the whole point of getting the smack talk in check. I'll admit I'm just as guilty as the next guy and apologize to anyone I may have offended.

The purpose of this forum is to share information and to give and receive feedback from fellow car guys. It is not however the place for putting down and making others mad. Were all guilty. There's no fab 5 as mentioned that is somehow immune from what were saying. There is however a board that does call the shots. It's the way it is. The board consists of Paul, Myself and Jarrod. We take input from the club and decide what is done. It's not possible to have a club without someone to make rules and so forth. Without the board it would be a free for all. No orginization would surely cause chaos. One of the rules I live by is from psalms and it says this. Without counsel plans go astray but with numerous advisors they will succeed. I consider all of you my friends and advisors who I trust to help guide us into the future.

Let's all agree that we will try to keep focus on the topics posted and try not to stray into the grey area where people get offended and feelings are hurt. Understand that just because I can take a joke with no problem doesn't mean the next guy is going to be as understanding.

Also keep in mind that we need to keep our words in check. Foul language to a degree that becomes offensive needs to be checked too. We aren't all a bunch of drunken sailors on leave. There are women and children on this forum as well as sponsors for the club that visit. So let's just try to keep crude material and chatter in the saloon. That's why it was created.

That's all I have to say. Again. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone in the past. If I get out of line feel free to tell me. For those who know me. You understand I'm a very easy going guy and enjoy all things mustang. I hope I can get to know everyone a little better this year.

Enjoy life. Enjoy the club.

i agree completly, so without further ado i apologize for my recend outburst in lfoul language (i did get owned by the mods applause ) any ways i agree i dont want this place to be become like okdhm, that places absolutly pisses me off. there are som good people on that forum but there are alot more bad people there. theres good info to be had but the personal attacks never end. that being said this is the only club near me that has any good info about the modern mustangs. i know a lot of you dont know me and some of you probably dont lik me(i'll admt it im not the best person) but i do what i can. i help who i can and thats really what this club is about, bringing people together that have a common love for the mustang.

heres to a good clean and fun year from here on out beerdrink

Like David said there is no Fab anyone. "The Board" is as guilty as anyone at times of doing the exact things we preach NOT to do. We are human and get caught up on the fun or arguements that happen on a forum and for that I appologize...like david said I and others are as guilty as the next.

BUT there has to be guidelines and rules to keep us in line and in a certain direction. Some say one person cant make a difference, BUT thats not true...one person on a forum can ruin it for the group with their negativity and comments.

I absolutely enjoy this place and having fun with you guys. I want to keep this place as clean as we can, but still have that humor we all love. Joking is one thing....personal attacks are another. I, nor will any of the board, tollerate any kind of personal attacks...I dont think I can be more clear on this.

FastFox...I sent you a PM...we all know where this came from and you know what happened. I will not argue further on the subject as I know the truth of the matter.

Again...this is the best place for me to visit my friends and as Mike said "Extended Family" because I too think of you like this. This summer is going to be amazing with the Shelby show and other car shows and events. Cant wait to meet everyone!

And if anyone ever has a problem with something I or anyone else has said...Please feel free to PM me. My door is always open so to speak.

Jarrod

Great comments from all! I appreciate David M.'s comments about the ladies, children, and possible sponsors (along with sensitive old geezers like me) who visit this forum and have to read through all the crude comments and vulgar language - doesn't present a real attractive (or truthful) picture of what this club and its members are all about. I think we all (myself included) get carried away in ragging on each other in both the forum posts and the chat box because most of us know each other pretty well by now and we know the intent and personality of the poster and that their comments are in jest - it won't appear that way to newcomers or first-timers to the forum, however; and that should be kept in mind. I, like Jarrod, am looking forward to the summer's events and exercising the Mustang's muscles once more! And let's get that trip to the resurrected Rock Cafe on the calendar ASAP!

I as everyone else do consider this my second family, some days my first family. I would not want to escalate anything to the point of losing or breaking a friendship. This club has made me some new friends and other friendships stronger. I can not wait for summer to get out and have a fun time with you all.
