WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Like the thread says if you would like to help out here's what you need to do.
If you would like to donate some time to the project with some of the various phases just send me a PM and let me know what you would like to help out with and I'll let you know when we plan to be working so you can join in.
I know not everyone is inclined to get greasy or has the patience to turn a wrench but you can still help out. If you would like to help out with a cash donation (every penny counts!!) you can send money via www.PayPal.com Send payments to: damckay75@sbcglobal.net
At this moment what is needed most is cash. The money will be used to buy the remaining items for the project. Tires, Paint and supplies, Caster Camber plates, Mid pipe, Flowmaster american thunder cat back system and various items that will arise as the build nears completion.
For all those who have helped out with the project I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This project means alot to me and I couldn't have done any of it without the help of my friends.
Thank you!
For those of you new to the project here is a picture of my son who will be receiving the car as a surprise after he graduates. He is in the red hat.

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
I thought we could use an update on items that are still undone.
The big items left are as follows:
Tires
Tint
Caster camber plates
Exhaust (BBK h pipe for long tube headers and flowmaster American thunder system 2 1/2" with polished tips)

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Making one last push for donations. Anyone who would like to donate money to the project (even $5 or $10 bucks) every penny helps! You can paypal to damckay75@sbcglobal.net it's crunch time and it looks like were going to fall a bit short without some help here.
Thanks to everyone who has donated parts, time, sweat, blood, tears and cash!!!! It has been most appreciated!
Thank you to the club and I hope to see you all at the reveal!

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Exhaut Tires Paint and CC plates. As well as the little incidentals that you never count on like mounting and balancing the tires, alignment, and whatever else rears its ugly head before we finish.

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Awesome Hector!!!! David..thanks for your sander...My arms are tired!
Like David said there are still items left to do.
American Thunder Exhaust is one thing i would love to see the kid have. Hopefully with some donations its atainable. Its a pricey exhaust...But man does it sound GOOD!
3 things a teenager would love to have on a car....1) Nice paint 2) Nice stereo 3) Nice exhaust
That completed the car for me when I was in highschool...David are we going to have enough money for the exhaust?

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Lets get some more money sent over.
The exhaust cost roughly 300.00 to 350.00 i think and Tires are going to be about 400.00 to 600.00 if we get the good ones. caster cambers are around 200.00 or so.
thats alot of money and not alot of time.

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Looking good.
I just wanted to tell everyone that you will see your money at work!!! When Davids son gets back you will see that car at every event and functin. You will see your hard earned money at work and be proud that you helped out with a good cause. I know it will make me feel good when i see him at car shows and the drag strip or any other event that jerry or the board setsup. There is nothing more exilerating then to help a good cause.
Please donate

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
Thanks alot guys! Here is the way we need to proceed. in this order:
1. Paint
2. Tires
3. Exhaust
4. Extras
The paint is a must have, the tires are a must have, Exhaust I want real bad but if worse comes to worse.........Extras all the little details that will need addressed after you start looking at them and go man I wish that this had.............
I am believing that we can get all the main stuff completed. It just takes people stepping up and lending a hand. As of right now I have personally spent over 3 grand on this and still have around 12-15 hundred left so any and all help is greatly appreciated. At the begining I had set a budget of 2 thousand. Well obviously that is out the window. So I am currently over budget but I think like Justin said it will be worth it in the end.
For the exhaust I am thinking to call Kris over at K&M and see what he could put a setup together for. Fill him in on the project and see if he might have some used stuff around the shop that could save some coin. Perhaps some used tail pipes? new mufflers and some flow tubes / short H pipe that he could mock up there in the shop to save a bit? Make my own american thunder system of sorts.
Thanks again to everyone!

Re: WANT TO HELP? COME IN HERE.
I want to help but right now my only resource is labor and thats in short supply lately after our lay offs at work.. So you set some dates to work on it and I will try to schedule things around it so I can help out. When are you doing the prep on the car? I can run a sander like nobodys business.. I have my own da but i dont have any disks for it.. Its a 4" I believe and takes the stick on pads.
