PC Techs help please
So my old laptop crashed (the display backlight crashed, and it was old anyways. A Dell Inspiron 15" with only a 40G hd), and now have a Dell Studio 17' with Vista 64 bit 320gb hd etc.
Problem is my print server cannot work. Not supported by the OS. It is a Linksys WPSM54G.
I've read a few things here and there how to work around, but I am not techie, just a novice. It all seemed too complicated for me to do. Anyone got an idiots guide how to so I don't have to wait/buy a new print server for my Vista 64 bit?
Oh, and anyone know when Mionet (WD external network hd application) will be avail for Vista 64 bit?
thanks

Re: PC Techs help please
Man.. You have way too many things going against you on this one. First they do not have drivers for Vista but you can make it work with a generic driver if you have Vista 32 bit. For some reason with the 64 bit version that doesnt even work. I would say your best bet is to go back to the 32 bit vista or the smarter choice would be to find a print server that is capable of using vista 64 bit.

Thanks. Did you state this from profession, self learned knowledge, or did you Google up my problem and read the resolves? There was resolves posted somewhere, but I couldn't understand them and didn't want to risk messing up the new laptop just yet.
I didn't want to shell out the $$$ to get a new print server, and I don't even think there are many things at all that support the 64bit.
