Vanity plate and reveal ideas

Ok so I am wanting to order a vanity plate for the car and would like some ideas from you guys. I would also like some input from the club for possible reveal scenerios.

For the plate I was thinking of :

BMMC
OVRHAUL
90 FOX
THUNDER (since he's at thunderbird)

does he have a name for the car

As for the reveal the two scenerios that I am kicking around are:

1. Do the reveal the day of the car show at the mid America meet on Sunday pretending that the car belongs to someone else then having the show registration in the window with his name on it.

2. Revealing the car the night of the cruise in. Having the car parked ahead of time on brookside and doing the reveal before the show. It's going to be hard to hide from him where his car is so this might be a better option?

I have written him a letter that told him that the motor froze and the block cracked while we had the bad ice. I told him that I was having a guy in Leonard rebuilding the motor so I have an excise that I can drag out quite a bit if I need to.

when the motor is finished from the "guy" have the "shop" call you and tell you it was stolen off their lot before you had the chance to pick it up.

I like the the cruise idea for the reveal. Have it lined up somehow with the rest of the mustangs and bring him out to see it. Then his first drive in it would be the cruise to brookside and out with the mustang club. I think he might get bummed if he doesnt have a mustang the whole weekend of the biggest mustang weekend of the year.

I agree with Jerry.. It would be cool if he had it for the cruise and stuff. I think the cruise will be a good recruiting tool for BMMC to show up our cars and having the project car there with maybe a photo album would be cool. And yes someone needs to be documenting all of this so we can put a photo album together to take to the Shelby show. The first but hopefully not the last BMMC Overhaulin car.

Yeah, we need to make sure we keep photos of all of this. We need to get a picture of it this weekend at the garage in "Leonard". Not that he is thinking about it, but would be cool to show him afterwards what was going when he thought his motor was frozen and getting "overhauled"

Lets do it!! and get a custom license plate...are you still going to do that david?

You know it would be cool to get a plate that relates to the theme. HAULED or OVRHAULD. That way you could make up this lnog story about something that happened to the car. Walk out of the hotel with him and say here, this is all that was left of the car, and then hand him the new personalized plate. See if he figures it out and walk him out to the car where we could all be waiting for him to see it.

Im thinking to do it the Sunday before Shelby. He gets back the day before. We could make it out like a welcome home party and do it there. Give him a couple days to get used to driving a 5 speed so he can drive in on the cruise. I like the idea about the license plate being the only thing left though. I'll see if I can get a plate ordered tomorrow.

Yea, I was gonna say, you need to order it now. It takes like 2-3 months to get those plates.

Anyone want to take point on gathering pictures and having them printed to place in a scrapbook of the build? I would like somehong to give to Andrew to display with the car at shows and such.
