Post by Captain Chaos on 8/13/2013, 8:14 pm

We will take our fall day cruise down to Talimena Drive, and tear up some twisty roads.

I thought the two tires in the front were holding up the car for a second lol!

Glad to hear you don't have mechanical issues with the car... What tires are you going with?

Looks like I will be in Florida for the Talimena drive unless it get's postponed. I'll probably be up for the fall cruise though. Vandy, with 3 jobs you would have trouble breaking free anyway...

Jus' sayin'

Not sure. Was looking at stock size invos up front and nt05s out back. But i hear they are slippery as snot in the rain. Sonoma thinking about 555's out back. I had them on my yellow car and loved them.

As far as 3 jobs. One is seasonal spring thru fall. The other is a military commitment that's over December 4th but I'm punching out in mid November. Ill be broke but have a life lol

Are you talking about eh NT05 or the NT05r out back? I'm not sure if I would mix n match the NT05 and the invos. You could do the NT05r out back and the NT05 up front. Or NT05s all around. Or Invos all around.

I have NT555 all around. They are awesome in the rain, but the rubber is hard.

I have 555's and the sidewall is stiff, but the tread is soft. I won't comment on driving in the rain because it's insane to do so with 700 ponies....

I try not to. But on days like the Shelby show i got 20 min from home and caught in a down pour. I'm looking for solid traction in wet or dry conditions. So far the 555s and invos look good. But invos sizes are limited iirc

I recently bought a set of Vredestein Vorti R's and love em. They are not a very big brand in the USA, but are in Europe. Really impressive grip and the price isn't too bad either.

Haven't locked down a time yet, but what we have discussed so far is leaving in the 8:00-9:00 time frame. Getting back in the 5:00-6:00 time frame.
